Believe it or not, I use this net to clean the edges of my pool. I am an older woman and can’t pick up the heavy duty skinny net which my husband uses so I got this one just to clean up around the edges. He likes it so much I find him using it occasionally. It seems rather flimsy because it’s really for a kid but so far it has worked great

Compact and works great

I was surprised to see how nice this net actually was when opening the package. I wasn't expecting such a nice net for what I paid for it. It seems to be well built and a sturdy little net. It is also a nice size. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving but not this time. The only thing I worry about is the metal bending where it expands if someone were to lean against it. I have kids so our stuff goes through a lot of wear and tear.

The storage size is fantastic and lightweight. Very fun for the grandkids.

Good for fish or frog catching with the kids at the creek

This broke the 2nd time it was used and is unrepairable. Unfortunately, as it is a seasonal item, it was outside of the return/exchange window. Very disappointed.

The end of the net has a plastic tube that broke easily when my son used it to catch minnows in the stream.

I would not purchase this product again. I only use it to scoop a few small leaves from my small fish pond. The weight of the wet leaves and extra resistance cause by the leaves blocking the water flow when skimming the surface causes the pole to bend.

I should have checked the measurements closer but when it arrived, it was very small and didn't extend very far. If you are interested then certainly check out the dimensions. It would be ideal for the small child at the edge of the lake or ocean but really has no other function outside of that. I will keep it to allow me to catch tadpoles and the like but this is not a good dipnet for pond studies and certainly not for catching and holding moderate to large fish. I'll keep looking for the better net.The 3 stars is mainly that the net doesn't do what I want but that's not the company's mistake. If I had bought this knowingly for a child then I might have rated higher.

This was just delivered to my door. My son was really looking forward to using it at the the lake this weekend but we will have to leave it behind, I don’t think he will be able to catch many minnows with a net that’s already unraveling… pretty disappointed.
