This was definitely a disappointing purchase. My plan was to use this to keep weapons and medications safe during road trips. There was a flaw on this one that allowed the cover to battery case to come lose with very little jostling and the batteries fell out, locking my wife's medication and my handgun in the safe. Because it had functioned so nicely at home, I did not bring one of the emergency key with me to unlock the safe. Here is the final kicker, with three sharp raps from a standard hammer near the hinges, I was able to compromise the door enough to open it. I would not use this product again. It would probably function OK to keep your children away from things but its flimsy construction does not qualify this to be a safe IMHO. I give it two stars because the fingerprint recognition works very well

I looked at a lot of different options when purchasing a biometric safe for my handgun and I finally got from North Steam.I think this was the ideal choice for me the finger print feature and keep safe from the family.I place the safe in the back of a closet. Finger print registration was simple and worked well. Tried other peoples fingerprints and it won't open. Brilliant!Construction is sturdy and big enough to put passports, credit cards, jewels , watches .etc.There is the "beep" when opening - it's not that loud - and it will beep if left open after a few minutes (which I like).And also I found this safe is much cheaper than other similar item, good deal! It’s cool!
