Super cool scooter for adults..
I uaed to be very athletic. But had an injury 6 years ago and am just now getting back into excercising. I wanted something that would give me a workout and still be fun. Something that I can even ride from my car when it's parked a couple blocks away. So, I went in search of a foot scooter. I didn't like the razors and found most of them too small. And since I'd be on the sometimes unever road and sidewalks, I needed a larger wheel what would go over some rough ground at times.Anyways, the minute I got it, I found it folds in two, which makes it real easy to take into the stores with me. And I just love the ride. I take it to the 7-11 instead of my car. And because I park my car far away at times, I just scooter back home. In fact, I just love getting up and riding it back to my car. it's so cool, I want to find a way to find more time to use it. it's just too cool.Pros: It has the handle brake in addition to the back foot brake. It has nice big wheels that will go over the rough ground in my alley. Just perfect size for an adult. And has a nice size foot pad to stand on. Goes fast and glides great.Cons: I really don't have a con. It is not the imported foot scooter I had as a child with large nuematic wheels-which really allows you to ride on everything. But that was imported from holland and very expensive. From everything I researched before I bought this one, I found this to be the best around.I'm so glad I bought it and by the way, the next day I felt a bit sore which was perfect. It means I got a bit of a workout from riding it-which is what i wanted. And it's helping me with my balance as well.Highly recommended.

Great tough Kick Scooter with room for improvements!
My initial thoughts after test riding the Know-Ped for a few weeks:Smooth, fast ride, easy to fold, no need for regular maintenance, super tough construction, perfect size for me (I'm 6' high and 11 size shoe), it can handle crack pavement and bumpy road well, easy to learn, great brake power from front & rear brake. The max speed about 10-13Km pH, no match for the bikes, but it can blow jogger off easily. Great way to cover short distances, touring around urban areas. The downside are the deck is too wide, although that means you can place both feet side-by-side, but it is very difficult to keep balance when kick pushing the scooter while the other foot is not in the center of the deck! Also, when shoulder carries the Know-Ped (after folding), it is so annoying since the deck and handle bar keep hitting my back and neck. The weight is also a concern (over 13 lbs), and it cannot stand up-right by itself when folded, this is a big problem for me because I live in Hong Kong, the bus and subway train is always crowded with people, I've to balance it up-right in a folded position throughout my journey (very tire)! I know NYCeWheels do sell the improvement model the "Kick-Ped", but unfortunately they don't ship to HK directly. After a few painful weeks carrying the Know-Ped around the city, I order a slim wood deck from Singapore, much like the Kick-Ped version, it is way slimmer, easier to carry and better foot balance than the original deck! Now I wish if the handle bar can turn the other way when folded will be nice (like the new version of Kick-Ped). Bottom line, great scooter with minor flaws, Amazon offer's super nice deal, you won't regret to buy one of this any day!

Nice, but will be returned
I have mixed feelings about this product. First off, it is well constructed and is an attractive scooter. I think that if I were keeping this, it would be around for a long time with just minimal maintenance required. However, at 360 pounds at 6' 5", I am near the upper end of the maximum weight limit/restriction. So, if you are like me, you may wish to rethink the purchase or buy the unit knowing that it may or may not please you.I think the maximum weight allowance needs to be adjusted to perhaps maximum weight of 300-350. I also found that the handle bars were just barely high enough to make things comfortable. I felt the "give" on the foot platform when riding this....which made me end my ride very quickly. I also found that with my 6' plus frame, balance was a bit of an issue.I will offer praise to Amazon for understanding the situation and helping me with the return process. I would say that Amazon service is rated as excellent. However, I think the product description needs an update to reflect a more accurate representation. Good quality product for any child or an adult of average weight and height.
