HP Color Laserjet 3600n Printer (Q5987A#ABA)

Several months now and it works flawlessly. I replaced a 4 year old same model machine, rather than perhaps a newer model or different brand, since I just bought all new supplies a couple of weeks before mine broke down (for some reason the fuser got damaged). Considering the cost of supplies, even generic, it was worthy to get a nicely refurbished machine at a great price. All as described and promised. It has been a good workhorse for general printing, very economical because it has high capacity toners, which makes it bulky, but although it does affect my aesthetic senses it's not a deal breaker. If you need a high quality photos it's not the machine for it, but that's more or less a given with this type of a printer.Btw, although I've been buying supplies on line at a discounted price, I would suggest to check out prices on Amazon - much, much better.

This machine was sent to me used, but in NEW condition. The transfer roller was bent and the metal guide bracket was bent as well. The image units were also missing. I could not test the machine, due to incomplete machine.

We wanted to order this same printer when the other one "died" because of the ink already purchased. It was exactly the same if not better and was seamless switching out the old for the new. This is not a state-of-the-art laser color printer but serves our purposes well.

the printer was advertised as refurbished and fully functioning, but it isn't. All print jobs were jamming from both feeders. I still can NOT print addresses on envelopes since the envelope feeder continually jams. After calls for some service, I was told, "clean the rollers". I would have expected the seller would have done that since it was advertised as refurbished. I constantly have been cleaning all the paper feed rollers, with still no luck with envelopes. I'm sure now with the continuous jams, other feed mechanisms are now out of alignment. DO NOT buy from this vendor if you want or need customer service after the sale. I doesn't exist!

I paid $432 for this printer including shipping. I could have paid over $1,000 for a newer model, but the 3600N is a work horse and I have 3 of them, so I thought I give a refurbished one a try. It arrived on time in good shape. The print quality was not as good as I would have liked. It was a little out of alignment, so the print was a little blurry. We have calibrated it and done some other adjustments we found on the web and we got the quality to an acceptable level. I'm not sure if this is the best I can expect from a refurb or if this if the best Advanced-Printers can do.

I have 2 of these printers. One is at home set up on a LAN with 7 computers printing with it. The second is at work where it is the only color printer. At work it takes abuse from the employees, and although the paper drawer is broken into 2 pieces, it still works great! The 3600n at my home was purchased from Amazon in August 2008 and was actually put into service December 1st 2008. I am rating this product today while shopping for new toner cartridges. You see, today is the 16th of April 2010, and although I have been using it for at least 2 months with the "order new toner" message, the cartridges' are the originals that came with the printer. This printer is a wonderful printer that has filled every need that my family had for a printer, I would recommend it to anyone! Well, except for the guy that rated it so low, for him I say "you have to be smarter that the equipment you are working with".

After few months it started showing an error. It doesn’t have warranty, you lost your money.
