Works great, perfect fit, and seems like very nice quality.It can be a bit fiddly getting the gasket off the old one and transferring it, would have been nicer if the new one came with a gasket.But works great.

Works just like the original. We had our furnace inspected in the fall and were informed that the ignitor had a 60% chance of failure that winter and a 100% chance next winter. The repair from the HVAC company was ~$150. So I decided to do some research. I found this for $16 and though it was worth the shot. It was easy to install (just 1 screw). It has been working for nearly 2 months without a problem. We live in Michigan so it gets a lot of use. Watch some videos on how to install and you will be good to go.

Been working all winter

This came in a box marked Emerson. I imagine that Emerson is the OEM for this part. It looks exactly like the spare that I had that came from Carrier. Everyone should have one of these staged on top of their furnace. It's a one screw replacement part and if it saves a night time service call, you just saved $300 and you will have your heat back on in 20 minutes.

Never ever try to fix your own furnace!!!However - we had an emergency and our house was 40 degrees (and dropping) and the repair man was slammed and couldn't get to our house for 3 days. After a quick youtube video - I figured out what the furnace error code indicated - removed one small screw holding the ignitor in place - it was clearly broken - removed/replaced a second screw to hold the ignitor in place - used a multi-meter to test voltage in the line - and popped it back in place. Viola! Heat!!! Thank you!!!!!**Just for safety I still had the furnace repair man come by to check my work. Net cost $60 - he said he would have charged me $60 for this part to come off his truck.Also - please note that I am not a repair man or salesman for this product - I don't have any clue about part numbers or whether this part will work for you. Best to research your equipment and search for a manual. Happy searching!

I woke up at 5 am on Dec 24 to a cold house. Furnace was not working. It would turn on then turn off. After several hours of youtube diagnosing and checking my furnace I concluded that furnace had bad hsi. Searched for local places that sold hsi. None were available. Searched my trusty amazon for one day delivery and sure enough North American HVAC had several hsi that would fit my carrier furnace Norton 271 M hsi. Purchased two of them at 8 am. Both arrived at my house at 6 pm. I installed it and BAM, furnace was working again. Amazon will have my business for next 5 years. Stories of Amazon not being able to fulfill their delivery promise is greatly exaggerated. It would have cost me hundreds of dollars and possibly days of delay to get my hvac fixed if I called local hvac company.

The fact it arrived broken just as I need it as a cold front comes in. No way to heat my house.

IT FITTED AS IT SHOULD

Quick delivery to Canada and a good replacement (right dimensions) for the OEM igniter (LH33ZS004) in my Carrier furnace. Installed and now heat is on! This replacement is thicker than another generic replacement I had ordered (which cracked while installing) so I was pleased to see how closely this igniter matched the original in thickness. Thank you!

With the arrival of the much cooler weather (yay) the furnace was running but then failed.The culprit was the igniter and I had one in stock for just such an event. To keep a back-up ready I hunted Amazon on the chance there may be an igniter stocked.Sure enough I found this one and saved some money to boot. The best thing was it arrived Wednesday! That was fast!Oh yes, it works just fine!NOTE, I've been told you should never touch the element as the oil from your fingers/hand will cause the element to fail prematurely.
