Grace Kelly Collection (The Swan / Rear Window / High Society / High Noon / The Country Girl / To Catch A Thief)

X very good quality sound and picture. Good value for movies I love that are hard to find otherwise.

Didn't expect much for the low price, but the movies were beautifully digitally reconditioned to like new, with excellent color and sound. Well worth the money. Grace was truly a rare beauty indeed, and a saucy actress as well. Her personal life was filled with lusty love encounters, and it's easy to see why men fell to her charms, for she had that "je ne sais quois" quality that makes men act like fools, and fawn over her for attention. These films were the bulk of her career production on film, since she was whisked away to a life with Prince Rainier on Monaco in France at a tender age. Her acting was very natural, almost spontaneous in "feel", and always touched with her special charms that were both visual and aural. Her leading actors were often the leading men in her personal life as well, and one can easily see how men were charmed, fascinated, and captivated by her presence and her libidinous energy. For her time, she was easily one of the most desirable women in cinema, bar none.

For such a Great Price I can tolerate the oriental markings on cover and can turn off the subtitles, also. The Swan did not seem to be as clear as most of the other films in this pack, maybe bad transfer, but I won't watch that one much, anyway. High Noon, Rear Window, etc., the others are pretty clear.Plastic case with plastic envelopes inside appear to hold the DVD's securely. Sound is good. All in all, for Grace Kelly fans it's something of a bargain.

so far I only had a chance to look at two.High Society is not playing it is stuck in the middle of the dvd and would not move forward

Don’t make the mistake I did and buy this set. It is clearly an illegal copy and should not be available in the first place. I didn’t see the Chinese characters on the front of the box when I selected it. Not only that but it is a very small image size and very blurry. I will throw mine away. Save the money and buy the real thing!

I wanted High Noon and got it in this collection with five other very good films. There are two good ones from Alfred Hitchcock, two with Bing Crosby and one with Alec Guinness. Six nights of top notch entertainment.

A great must have collection of Grace Kelly movies. Quality very good.
