I operate a lot of heavy outdoor power equipment in a very brushy and grassy area on my land. There's always a chance for fire. And, of course, there's cooking outdoors, with charcoal fires and deep fryers. Another potential fire hazard. So, it's a good idea to have a fire extinguisher AND a fire blanket. Sometimes, it just make better sense to throw a blanket over it than to try and blow it out. I thought about opening one of these, just to see what it looks like. But, it's 'Open only in the case of an emergency' kind of thing. And, being a first responder, I know what they look like anyway. I also know that there are federal guidelines that dictate the minimums on efficiency of these things. So, I know that I'm good. the price on this two pack was great. The same ones, purchased separately from a commercial industrial supply house would have been twice as high. So, great purchase. Five stars.

For $19.99, I feel this pack of fire blankets meet my expectations. I hope to never have to use them. I bought them in case of a fire of course. I plan to use on in my vehicle and one near my kitchen. What I really like about this set is that the seller added in hooks for the wall. I haven’t tested the hook yet as I’m about to relocate. But once I do I will hang it up and update review with if it could handle the weight. If I ever do have to use these during a fire before their recommended replacement date I will also update this review and I plan on if I haven’t had an emergency by the time I need to replace them to do my own outside test just to see what will happen because I am that curious. So far as I’ve said I haven’t had to actually use them so there is nothing to dislike at this point. And I do like how they are a deep red and have clear instructions in white on the outside.

We have fire extinguishers in the garage, 2 closets and in a hallway. We hope that we never have to use them, but if we do they are there, at the ready. I felt that we needed some additional peace of mind so I purchased this 2 pack of 40x40 fire blankets.I am keeping these right next to 2 of the fire extinguishers.They are easy to open: pull the black straps and the blanket will release from the red pouch. It is velcroed shut.The seams are well sewn and secure.Peace of mind in a 'just in case' scenario.

This product is very compact which I can put it in my car or somewhere in my kitchen. It is super useful when in danger times. It’s crucial to have something that effective and does the job right. This blanket is very much needed when you try to rescue the love ones in emergency. That’s why there are 2 in a package. 1 for you and 1 for the other person. Hopefully they might not be use but I like to be prepared. I’ve tested with pond fire and it works wonderfully. Maybe I’ll keep using it to put out pond fire for the time being.

This is great to have in any place especially a kitchen. I have this next to our oven at an fast easy place to reach for any emergency. It is very self explanatory but has the well wrote out instructions on front with images. Definitely makes me feel more at ease to know we have this fire blanket at any fire emergency. Very great quality and doesn’t weigh a ton. And it comes with 2 and with the hooks needed!

I bought it as a cheaper and sometimes effective alternative to fire extinguishers. I keep one fire blanket in the garage and another one in the kitchen. It's big enough to cover a small fire. It doesn't have expiration date as fire extinguishers, so good bargain for me. It has a red cover so you could easily find it in an emergency case. I hope I will never use that.

Fortunately, I have not has an opportunity to use the fire blankets. The cases appear to be made out of sturdy material as do the blankets. They are really easy to use. Just take them out of the package and grab a corner and throw on the fire. It can't get much easier than that.
