Impressed so far. ? on support.
I bought this for my wife's study to use with a laptop. We're very pleased with it. As context, I already have a larger IPS 1200x800 monitor from a few years ago. I chose that for colour accuracy for photographic work. It's also calibrated. Our needs this time were a bit simpler. A good clear display to make general office use and web browsing easier.I was really pleased to find the box contains everything you need (and more). It had every type of connection cable as well as a USB cable to hook PC to the monitor's USB hub and a 3.5mm audio cable. It even came with UK and Euro power leads. These plug directly into the monitor target than being a power brick. The stand is a sturdy smart looking metal affair which goes together very easily. There's just one thumbscrew to tighten. There's a good range of height adjustment (it simply slides up and down; no catches to release or tighten). It also tilts (i.e. bottom and top edges can be pushed or pulled). Only quibble here would be that it sometimes seems to turn slightly so that the monitor is not horizontal. Easy to straighten and then it stays put, but this knocks the quality feel slightly.Setup was pretty easy. Windows 7 detected it well enough to give the right resolution and refresh rate. Also no issues in Windows 10.There's a driver disk in the box. I went to look online instead to see if there was a more recent one. That was a bit odd as I expected to easily find a manufacturer's website and support pages. I did eventually find something but it wasn't easy (sorry, link removed by Amazon). The first site I came to had support pages, but did not include this model. That puts a question mark on support if we ever have a problem. The picture is certainly immediately impressive and enjoyable for office use. I also tried some HD trailers on YouTube and found colours looked good and it was plenty sharp enough. I'll not pretend any of this was scientific and I'm not planning on calibrating this as it's not needed, but subjectively it's all good.I did do a quick check for dead and stuck pixels and found none. I've not tried the speakers at all as my wife has some other speakers already.I will note that cable management could be improved. You've got HDMI and power to start with and then the USB hub is on the side of the machine. If you're using that for any permanent connections (e.g. keyboard etc) then you'll have cables sprouting from the side. There's nothing in the back of the monitor to help (e.g. loops for cable ties) so that's all a bit messy.Like all WUXGA 1200x800 monitors, it's a bit expensive compared to 16:9 models. This is on a par with models from more well established makes, but I guess you can see the prices for yourself.

Great value portrait monitor
I wanted a 16:10 monitor to put in vertical/portrait mode next to my Gigabyte G27QC. For the £145 or so I paid I'm really happy with it. The extra height makes it almost tailor made for vertical/portrait mode.I've never had an AOC product before, but the packaging was well designed and easy to unpack. Assembly was straightforward with no tools or screws required, just click in to place and tighten up. The image is clean and crisp and compared to my Gigabyte VA monitor it displays text with more clarify. Also the black levels are a lot better than I expected for an IPS monitor. The ergonimics are brilliant. The pivoting action works very well, and the stand has a small footprint yet it is sturdy. It has as turntable on the base of the stand which is a really nice little feature. It seems a well thought out product especially for the price. I will definitely consider buying more AOC products in future.Bad points? The software lacks custom profiles. When I play games at night I turn the second monitor's brightness/contrast right down. It would be nice to be able to do that with a quick couple of clicks, as per my Gigabyte monitor. But it's half the price, so not a huge issue.

Fine for the price.
The monitor arrived well packaged in perfect condition. It came with a good selection of cables - HDMI, normal VGA monitor cable and a 3.5mm? speaker/aux type cable plus of course a power cable (and a European plug one as well which obviously I don't need in the UK. I measured the HDMI cable and it was a good length - 1.5 metres long (about 5 feet). To get the speakers on the monitor to work you need to connect the monitor to your computer using the supplied HDMI cable. That's all you need to plug in, apart from the power cable. I got the picture and sound straight away through the HDMI cable - it supplies both the picture and the sound in one cable. The speakers are on the back of the monitor, so pointing away from you, and the sound is quite weak and tinny but this is to be expected with these built-in speakers on cheaper monitors. I find they are perfectly adequate for listening to things and getting sound from videos like on YouTube, but I do have the volume set to 100%.The controls for the monitor are small buttons on the front and they are a bit fiddly to use and work out, although a CD is supplied which you can can use to view the user manual if you have a CD drive. Through the buttons you can adjust the volume and also the brightness contrast and all the rest of it. I found the default settings were ok although a little bit bright for my desk in a dark corner so I've turned the brightness down a little bit.The picture quality on the monitor is fine, I can't say it's the best I've ever seen but it's perfectly good considering the price and I'm satisfied with it.Height adjustment - the monitor has to be slid down onto the stand. on its own when you press the back of the stand down it's springs back up again which concerned me but as soon as the monitor is attached to it the weight of the monitor holds it firm in the desired height position. adjusting the height is a simple case of pushing it down or pulling it up and it stays very well in whatever position you put it in. There's no no sideways swivel type of adjustment it's height adjustment only as far as I can tell.I bought this monitor because I wanted a height-adjustable one because my previous monitor wasn't height adjustable and it serves my purpose very well. For the price I think it was a decent buy. However I'm not an expert on monitors and couldn't say whether it's any better or worse than comparable models.... It's a monitor, it's got built-in speakers, it seems well made, it's height adjustable, it comes with all the cables you need to get up and running, it was quite easy to attach the monitor to the stand, and there's a user manual on CD although it's not really essential if you don't mind working out what the four little buttons do by trial and error.

Tilt, swivel and height adjustable
I bought 2 of these to work from home and can't fault them. They look and feel good quality. They tilt, swivel and go up and down. They came with both DVI and HDMI cables which would've cost an extra £10+ if they hadn't. I use the speakers on one of them through connecting by HDMI. The sound quality is fine - certainly better than my laptop. They're also easy to assemble. Picture quality is great, but then I'm only using them for office stuff. An absolute bargain at the price (£110.80 when I bought them), especially with free Prime next day delivery.

Ottimo
