I love how Karmin mix up dance with rap and hip-hop and it never sounds messy, just cool. HOW ARE THEY NOT INTERNATIONAL STARS YET!!!! Lady gaga wishes her last album had some of these tracks like acapella and i want it all.

I have been following Karmin for a while now. I really liked the album concept and the story behind the song ( you should definitely watch them talking about the album and the songs on their YT channel). This is one of the thing that is making this year superb!

Comme des millions d'autres, j'ai vu les clips et j'ai déjà cédé au charme puissant de Mlle HEIDEMANN. Le single 'Brokenhearted, sur le EP 'Home' (2012), était l'une des plus grosses "tueries pop vintage" que j'ai entendues ces dernières années. Deux ans sont passés depuis : Karmin sort, enfin, son premier album. Ce 'Pulses' m'a plongé, d'emblée, dans les sensations fortes qui m'étaient venues à l'écoute du premier CD de Cher LLOYD, 'Sticks + Stones' (2011). On sait ce qu'il est advenu en France de cette bombe anglaise... Une visibilité quasi nulle alors que le truc était incroyablement addictif : un salmigondis pop-rap assorti d'un art jubilatoire de la pétasserie avec une fausse gamine surexcitée. Karmin, c'est un peu la même chose, en plus radical et nettement plus conceptuel (Berklee School oblige). Pour preuve le single, 'Acapella' : un truc "arty-intello" qui ferait jurer, en rap, un prêtre réfractaire obtus. L'on me dira, peut-être, que c'est parce que je ne connais rien au rap que je jubile à l'écoute de ce type d'objet sonore. Aux État-Unis, la critique est restée très mitigée sur Karmin quand, pourtant, le groupe dispose d'une audience considérable. Je songe encore à Cher LLOYD dont le CD, sous un autre habillage, a rencontré outre-Atlantique un formidable accueil publique quand la critique institutionnelle jouait les fines-gueules. Cher LLOYD qui, justement, sort un nouvel album en ce moment.J'en reviens à Karmin et à ce formidable 'Pulses'. Pour ceux qui ont adoré 'Brokenhearted', il y a un 'I Want It All' dans le même esprit "tubesque vintage" assorti d'un groove funky au niveau du 'Get Lucky' de qui vous savez. On trouve aussi 'Acapella', bien sûr, et une kyrielle de trucs craquants bourrés de gimmicks de production. Le tour résolument upbeat de l'ensemble est démenti, au mitant de l'album, par de grosses ballades désabusées qui font figure de hit-singles en puissance ('Neon Love' et 'Tidal Wave'). Le garçon assure bien quelques vocaux mais c'est la voix et le flow d'Amy HEIDEMANN qui emportent tout. Un disque très varié finalement qui, du strict point de vue sonore, offre un plaisir immense : comparable à celui que peut procurer la tornade Gwen STEFANI (que ce soit avec No Doubt ou en solo).Je n'imagine pas que Karmin puisse rester, en France, une affaire pour happy-few.

Ich kenne Karmin nun schon ein paar Jahre, hatte sie aber nach ihren Youtube-Auftritten und Cover total aus den Augen verloren. Mit diesem Album haben sie mich total überrascht, abwechslungsreich und überzeugend!

Quel bon son et une bonne nouveauté niveau musique. Ça fait du bien d'avoir quelque chose de frais dans l'industrie de la musique (commerciale).

I discovered Karmin via Youtube a few weeks ago and fell in love with their songs (especially Acapella, which is shockingly old?! Seems like I'm not very much up to date when it comes to new music...).However, Karmin are an amazing duo, and even engaged now, and you can actually see and hear their love (for music) ;).The album has pretty much everything: ballads, love songs, weird 70s music (still love it!), and modern rap-songs (wow I sound like my mom...).Keep on doing what you are doing Karmin! :)

Pulses is a great Sophmore album for Karmin. The duo mixes things up a bit and I love the integration of pop, hip-hop, and r&b. Play it in the car, you will not be disappointed by the killer bass on the songs. Very easy to listen to and you'll love every track once you give it time.I'm extremely glad they kept a good pace on the album, just 2 slow songs on there. They rest of the list are upbeat and makes you want to dance, party, or groove.I was extremely satisfied with this album and have recommended it to colleagues and friends. They're just that good!

I am a HUGE fan of Karmin since the beginning and since its their debut album I had to buy it. :DThe album has great songs, not a big diversity of the type of songs though. but for sure there's a couple catchy songs that u can sing along to in the car. For example, Acapella, I Want it All, Tidal Wave, Puppet, Try Me on, and What's in it for me.I did have a problem getting the mp3 versions of the songs. Even though I purchased the songs I could not get the mp3s on the cloud player. :|

I loved Karmin ever since I first heard Brokenhearted on the radio. I bought this album and listened to it immediately. Every song on here is fantastic. If you've loved their previous work you'll love this one. They really show off their singing ability in some songs and provide great entertainment. This is definitely a very upbeat album overall with a few deviations. If you loved their previous work, you'll love this album.

omg I love karmin this cd rocks I listen to it everyday I love every song on the album I usually dont buy cds but I'm a huge fan of theirs and I love everything else they have put out in the past so I gave it a try I'm glad I did :)

i've watched this duo since, there covers on youtube. I wasn't expecting to like all of the music on this cd, but I do like almost 90% of it. I love the mixture of music genres they play with.

Great new duo! I discovered Karmin after going with a friend to a local concert and would totally recommend them to anyone!!! Their music definitely keeps you moving!

Great music to dance to, great beats. Love it!! I've been blaring this CD in my car all summer with my windows down! =D

Not quite as great as their first CD but still pretty great. More white girl rap and more reggae beat than first album but great voices. Pulses will be the first radio hit.

I absolutely love this cd. The beats are incredible and the lyrics are catchy! I love to try to rap with Karmin.
