simply because I know that journaling with pen and paper helps sooth my soul and calm me down when things get super hectic. I am
I am a teacher/librarian, and I purchased this planner after doing a LOT of research online and in the stores. I needed something that would help me with my personal planning, my family schedule, my professional life, and my small business. I also wanted a bit of room for journaling, simply because I know that journaling with pen and paper helps sooth my soul and calm me down when things get super hectic. I am always encouraging my students to "write, write, write!", yet I was never taking my own advice. Everything I did was punched into the iPad, iPhone, or computer. There is something about using pen/pencil and paper to brainstorm, doodle, and make little diagrams/flow charts that solidifies a concept in the brain. Plus I can go back and track my progress by checking my original ideas (doodles)!I'm hear to tell you this planner is exceptional, and I just purchased another one for the new school year. It helps me with my multiple appointments, lists, shopping, family, school, and social schedules, birthdays, ideas, you name it. I also use it as a reflective journal, not every day but if I need to journal it is right there, and there is room. There are plenty of little pockets for notebooks, pens, sticky notes, small calculator, whatever you need. I even keep some sheets of graph paper in it for room rearranging, or a furniture purchase. There are some online tutorials with suggestions on how to use the Tools4Wisdom planner that I actually watched and enjoyed.I used the planner a lot last school year, but I think I can put it to even more use this coming year. The way it is set up, you just make it your own, and use it however you want. I highly recommend! Now, it is big. When I open it up on my desk at school it is 20" wide X 12.5" tall. Closed it is about 9.5" wide X 12.5" tall. So If you are looking for a pocketbook calendar to carry around in your handbag, this would not be it. I recently purchased a MacBook that I will be carrying back and forth to my schools, and the planner with fit in the laptop bag, I absolutely love it, and as I said, I just purchased another one.

It felt like the text was too heavy for the simple approach ...
This planner was not graphically designed the way I had imagined. The lines and spaces for the actual day are arranged according to hour, with very small lines that do not accommodate normal sized writing. It felt like the text was too heavy for the simple approach that the calendar was advertising as its attribute to goal-orientation.

I prefer an organizer/calendar where I can make my own ...
I prefer an organizer/calendar where I can make my own notations. This one is "too guided" and has headings that doesn't apply to me. I wish I would've paid more attention when purchasing this product.

Great concept- needs some fine tuning
I love the concept of this planner as it helps me prioritize so my goals are always in front of me and I can choose and write addressing the baby steps I need to take each week to chip away at those goals . I only gave a 3 star because there is no tab for each month or a bookmark to open to the current week . Having those would make it a 5 star!

Not as good as last year =(
In comparison to many other planner formats, this planner does kick butt, not going to lie but I am a bit disappointed with a few changes from last years edition. I like that it comes inside of the Cambridge (brand) padfolio that looks professional and of good quality. I use it for my business and it is definitely a relief from carrying my last planner (from Tools4Wisdom) in a super ghetto fabulous 3 ring binder, tearing at its seams- yeah, embarrassing, I know. It helps me stay organized and kept and keeps my planner secure unlike having to just toss my last one inside the three ring binder without actually securing it in order for me to carry other things I need. (Neither this year or last has the 3 hole punch, however, I believe there may have been an option to order it like this.) I like the spaces provided to write things down about your weekly goals. It somewhat helps me focus on weekly tasks when I utilize this option. I can see how this may help people that are a bit more systematic than myself and like to figure out how they can execute each weeks tasks as efficiently as possible. That would be smart and make too much sense for me though.I also like that the time starts at 5am and goes to 11pm, This is extremely helpful for me as some of my mornings or nights start and end late.So I felt like I was fair in listing all the great things about this planner but I do have some disappointment as a returning customer. I don't like that this planner no longer has the 15 minute time break up. it allowed me to be a little bit more precise in my daily tasks especially since their are many occasions I had an appointment or something to do at the quarter hour. Doesn't everyone??I felt like it was the one really big thing that set this planner apart from others, and they took it away?? Bummer =( This is what originally made me feel like giving it 3 stars but I really had to ask myself if this was true. Honestly, I don't use the goal portions enough to justify paying $25 for another refill if it doesn't have this next year. I have found a few others for less than half the cost that have early morning to late night, half hour time increments that would seem to suffice. Another bummer was the month calendar and goals portions inserted in between a transition week. This was really annoying to have to flip back and forth between pages to reflect back on the previous week. It seemed way more organized to have last years style where there was a monthly section, weekly, daily and separate goals area. I mean every week has goals listed already anyway.-- definitely overkill for sure. It took the simplicity out of it.Lastly, I was disappointed about the dates added to the top of ever day each week. I bought mine May of last year and it was nice to not have to waste any of the pages but because this year had dates added above every day, I wasted several weeks worth of pages. Bummer! I thought it was very generous of them to do this last year and sad they would take this away. Again, a very unique thing that they took away and another reason to just buy a cheap one with basically the same thing. The only thing I would miss is the goal sections which I do on a visual board anyway so don't really benefit from.Overall though, I think people will think it serves its purpose. The brownie points to this years edition, is the option to purchase it in the Cambridge padfolio. If I were just purchasing the planner alone, I would give it second thought.

MUST HAVE, and what an AMAZING DEAL!
Finally somebody gets it!! So simple, so straightforward, really makes you THINK about what's important and how you're going to get there, but the process is lighter and less exhausting than other methods. Just one week later, I feel so much more at peace with my schedule, my to-do list, and my accomplishments. Okay, now let's talk about the optional binder (you can order them together as one option, for nearly the same price as the planner alone!!!). I expected a skimpy, "gimme" type binder but was I ever wrong! It's thick, very well made, much more substantial than you see in this picture. BONUSI am a lucky, lucky business babe this week! Recommend you get the set, you'll be blissfully organized, back on track and carrying it all in style.

not really worth it.
honestly, waste on money. Just get one from Office Depot for like $20. It has a great cover, but I mean, just buy cheap ones yearly, you know, nobody cashes out on a badass calender .
