iTwin Plug'n'Play Remote File Access USB Device (ITWGLP004)

This is a great product. I use it to access my files while on the road, from a coffee shop or even to access my main computer files from within my home without having to move around with USB sticks or having to setup a home local network.iTwin is a reliable, well designed and gives you all security you need in Dropbox or accessing files from outside your main computer.I have been using it non-stop for over 12 months now, very pleased and ready to buy iTwin Connect now, the companion product to setup VPNs and run remote software on your own desktop from anywhere in the world.Great products that delivers security and boosts your productivity in a truly hassle free way.My only problem with iTwin Plug'n Play is that if you setup the pwd protection as I did for a two-factor level of security (token and pwd), then each time you reboot your base PC, you must login in that machine to iTwin before you can access the files remotely. That can be a problem if the machine restarts by itself , for instance, during a software upgrade. This can be easily solved by not using the pwd security feature which means you nee to keep an eye on your iTwin, if it gets lost you need to disable it from the web soon enough, otherwise your files might be compromised.iTwin sells in its web site "iTwin File Access with SecureBox" device, this is identical to the iTwin Plug'n Play sold at Amazon once the automatic software upgrade gets applied. You do nothing, the device does it for you.

I thought this was the one you could remote-view the desktop... turns out it is only for remote-viewing files and you cannot view the desktop / control the computer remotely. I know this was my mistake in picking the wrong model, but it wasn't very clear seeing as the video on the page selling this product showed remote desktop specifically (guess it was a video for the device product line as a whole).Still, it does it's function well, limited to just files as it is though.

It does the job...Works well and accomplishes it was designed to do. A good tool for the money. Get two.

This device does not work for windows 10, And correct me if im wrong but it does not easily show anywhere that this device is not windows capable. Good quality and seem like a very smart and good product.

An incredible device for the cost and the ease of use.With the capability of the device for storage and ease of use it is certainly a lot of bang for the buck.

DO NOT BUY -- DEVICES NO LONGER WORK.the company manufacturing these devices seems to have gone defunct and have shut down the servers necessary to allow these devices to run.
