It heats up quickly
I absolutely love this electric kettle!!! It does not take long to heat up. I love the blue light when the water is heating up. And, the little noise it makes when it shuts off. This is a keeper!

Looks AND Works Great!
I admit that I bought this first and foremost because the blue light in the clear glass reminded me of a JetBlue airport lounge - cool & clean... Probably not the best reason to buy an electric kettle. But, I'm happy to report that not only does it look as cool and clean as the promo pix, it also works beautifully so far (spacey music vibes not included).Very quick boil, only a couple of minutes for ~.5L. Because it's clear, I can shut it off before it boils if I'm making a more delicate tea, or let it get to rolling, which I couldn't do with my last kettle, which was opaque. I wish it shut off completely once it's been removed from the base - you have to flip the switch back up manually. I also wish the switch was integrated into the base unit or the handle. I'm hard on stuff, and I'll probably accidentally break that little tab switch at some point, but that's future me's problem!

Great buy!
I wish I had this gadget sooner, kind of should be a staple in any kitchen. I don’t like waiting for tea kettles to heat up water on the stove, this heats up SO fast and the blue light looks cool.Super easy to use, just click the button at the bottom down and when it’s done boiling it pops back up and the light turns off.Very quick and holds a lot of water. Great for coffee pour overs or French press, tea, or anything you’d need some quick boiling water for.No issues so far and seems to be a high quality, durable product that doesn’t feel cheap or like it will break easy. This is my first electric kettle so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it has exceeded my expectations.

Wanted to like it, but plastic scent/taste is overwhelming
As a family of tea drinkers we use electric kettles all the time. We loved the look of this one, the sleek aesthetic, the Swiss cross, the combo of glass and steel, it's a beautiful piece. The problem is, and I am not sure if this is just the one we received or the product in general, but despite the relatively small amount of plastic in this unit, it is enough to cause an overwhelming scent and even taste (yuck!) of plastic. It sort of reminds me of drinking from a new k-mart garden house on a hot summer day (I know that's sort of a dated reference now.) At first we just figured that maybe it needs to run a few times and that plastic smell/taste will gradually go away. After numerous runs with the plastic taste not diminishing (and by now we are passed the 30 day return window) determined to make it work, we tried doing a cleaning run with white vinegar. It did not help. We have now had to go ahead and order a different model from a different band. I feel bad writing such a harsh review but we just can't have our tea tasting like plastic.

Still going strong after 2 years, cost is deceiving as you'll get your bang for your buck
This is worth the money because it's not so expensive like some I've seen where one really can't justify the cost. I've had this for over 2 years now and it still works great. I've had zero issues with it. Like other electric kettles, if you keep water in it all the time and/or it's not distilled, it will eventually leave a film on the burner plate but vinegar takes care of it nicely.

Very fast
Electric kettles seem very much a commodity, with many clearly coming from the same factory. There's not really much to distinguish one costing half as much as from this one, from one costing twice as much. But...The last kettle we had, with light use, lasted less than three years. And it was difficult to use. Feature rich, not so easy to use. And quick-ish, compared to the stove, but not fast.Similarly, different identical-looking kettles may have different electrics, coils, etc. So I splurged a bit to get a brand that ACTUALLY EXISTS. Read that again: You can find this brand. They aren't a midnight special of goods fallen off a truck in China. It's worth it. While it may look the same, it is very fast, packaging was good and it feels high quality.Don't think of it as paying twice as much, especially when the lower price item dies so quickly. Think of it as spending less than the cost of two martinis out to upgrade from craptastic to a good unit that should last for a long time, with a real company behind it.

"Pretty" Efficient, Fast, Voluminous, Solid
The media could not be loaded. I chose this model because I like to see what's happening with my water. (I use warm water to soften pate for my elderly feline!) City water out of the tap can carry occasional CSO alerts (code for "boil your water").*I ALSO MUST HAVE FEATURE* chose this model because of the stainless lid. The plastic lid of the last electric kettle first had the hinge break (I dealt with that) but eventually, the inside of the top melted and broke apart. The entire unit was ruined even though the rest of it worked okay.I also chose this model because the strainer is built in as apart of the unit. The last one, it came out. It also had a removable tea basket (which fits in this one) but the little strainer took an effort to keep up with and I had to use caution, especially with others to not let it slip down the garbage disposal. So having it built-in is a really nice feature...EXCEPT that it makes it a little tough to get a larger hand inside the kettle. However, at least once a week, I swish warm soapy water in the pot and rinse it. I only use filtered water so it's not being exposed to heavy metals. and when it's needed, I have one of those long sponges with a handle I can use to clean it.One last thing. I have arthritic hands so the weight is a bit more than I'd like. But I use a potholder and two hands or ask a friend to pour when I have company. Having the stainless steel construction on the inside of the pot with a lightweight base that allows you to modulate how long the cord comes out is well worth it!If this was helpful, please click "Like" on my review. I plan to review more products that I've had positive experiences with. There are too many critical, and not enough honest critiques!
