A Good Read for Enthusiasts and Prospective Owners
The book has a nice balance of historical performance Jaguars, the protypes that brought the XK8 model from the E-type and XJS cars, along with vignettes into the designers as they brought it all about, a good survey of the XK8 and XKR models, and some insights into the future. Interesting photographs and colorful cutaway illustrations abound. Also included were data tables, lists of changes and options, tables of performance data and Jaguar model comparisons. I had already bought an XKR, and I was eagerly soaking up information about these alluring cars.

informative but dated
An informative book releying heavily on early Jaguar literature. It has an English slant to the text which adds some charm. If it hadn't been coupled with the Nigley Thorley XK8 book I wouldn't have bought it.

SHORT BUT SWEET .
A succint review of this very popular and dare I say Iconic , or surely will be Jag. Very Good information in a condensed package. Far better than the other similar Versions available from Crowood and Mr Robson.

Good for the XK8 buyers
Very interesting and I was pleased to see some facts, that I know to be true, where included which have not been in previously read books on the XK8. Interesting facts that dispite knowing the development at a distance were new to me.

Plenty of useful information and inexpensive
This is an ideal owners guide with lots of background information about the XK8 whether you are an owner or a prospective buyer. This not a manual or detailed handbook, but what can you expect from such a low priced slim volume, but every page was of useful interest
