SabianHHX Complex Promotional Set

I took a chance to get these at a discount unseen and unheard. So happy I did, these cymbals are a pure joy to play in every way. Plenty of power and presence from delicate to bashing, the expressiveness of these HHX Complex cymbals can not be denied. The crash in the set offers a smooth accent with a classic turkish jazz cymbal sound signature but can really deliver a sharp crash spike if needed. The ride in the set creates that magical space ambience to the music which is hard to explain and certainly felt. The stick definition seemed lacking at first but i have come to understand the pitch is lower and not as pingy and therefore darker and under the vocals and guitar work, which offers great support and drive. I may never go back to 14 inch hihats again, the HH in the set is as delicate as a spring rain and tough as nails in a rock track. The only item I would like to have in this cymbal set would be a 17 inch HHX Complex Ozone cymbal, that would fill out the set nicely. I highly recommend you give this Sabian HHX Complex cymbal set a try. I am very happy I took a chance and love them.
