I very rarely laugh out loud while reading a book, but it does happen. It happened several times in this one. I love the dog presence in this book and the panels with Steve and Harry interacting (the Sisyphus 2-page one is superb, ditto the taco restaurant tab). And even if the cartoons are, well... (you guys don't actually READ these reviews, right?) perhaps a tad on the lame side, Harry's drawings are perfection itself. It's a book you savor and read slowly--take the time to actually look at the drawings! I will put it on the shelf, and I know it will be revisited more than once. Good job! Highly recommended, particularly now when we need some humor!

I saw the Steve Martin on Good Morning America talking about the book. The book sounded perfect for my father in law. So I ordered it as a Christmas Present for my father in law. My in laws read books every day. We saw him this past weekend and the book in on the coffee table. He enjoyed the book he said. So since it was on the table that evening I read the book too. Its a fast read and very enjoyable.

If laughter is the best medicine, we REALLY need this now! I laughed myself silly enjoying this book. It’s just simple, funny humor – the best kind. It’s not mean or political. The illustrations are well done & each cartoon is on its own page - cartoon on the right, blank page on the left.

Look. The content of this book is as advertised. Funny. Clever. A pairing of two well known humorists...one a monologist of some note and the other a cartoonist seen in the New Yorker. But, man, it is thin. Hard covered as books like this are these days it doesn't quite hold up as a coffee table book. And there is only one cartoon every other page. Right. Half the book is empty space. Now placing a value on laughs is hard to do and I would not really try. As I said these one liners are funny. What is not funny is the cost for each one liner.

Not really funny at all. Actually, I think I only smiled twice. Two times in 200 pages. The drawing is good, but the jokes...

a great fun book. Can flip to any page and get a laugh!!
