Pretty nice afterall!
Ok, normally im not a big fan of kitchen gadgets, because normally they are a pain to clean (even though they claim easy cleaning) and just dont perform very well at all.My wife has seen this on tv many times and has shown great interest in it, but i usually blow it off and ignore it. So i picked her up one for Christmas, and she got it today on christmas eve and i am actually pretty impressed with it.1) It is not very big. There should not be any issue with storage space.2) It works just as you see on tv, very easy, the pancake puffs come right out every time, very little mess, and it cooks fast.3) there is nothing complicated about this. It may actually be quicker to use this than a regular skillet pan.So, it is December 24 2008 today. If any impressions of this change i will be sure to come in and re-evaluate my review of this. For now, i rate it 4 out of 5 stars.EDIT: This thing does not work well with brownies apparently. The wife tried 3-4 times with some brownie mix she made, the brownies were all rock hard or they burned or they were raw. ... still works great on pancakes. Disclaimer - My wife is not exactly wolfgang puck, there is a chance of user error.

Very effective
* The below review has been given by my wife *I bought this Pancake Puff maker from Amazon after reading the reviews of people. I'm very happy with the product. The iron makes awesome mini pan cake puffs. The product comes with a recipe book mentioning different recipes of pancakes - chocolate pancake, strawberry pancakes, buttermilk pancakes etc. It comes with pancake flipping sticks and a handle holder. Since the iron puff maker gets very hot when heated, the handle holder (the glove) has to be fitted into the handle as soon as you start heating the puff maker. The pancake puffs come out well roasted out of the puff maker. Good Product.

Really Fun and Easy
As wonderful as these "puffs" are for breakfast, they make a terrific dessert as well when filled with whip cream or pudding and sprinkled with powered sugar. I am just glad I followed another reviewer's advice to buy two pans because the puffs were such a hit, having only one pan would have meant keeping family waiting. I used our normal pancake batter for the "puffs" and they were a huge success. Eggs mixed with lots of cheese and cooked sausage were cooked in the second pan--easy and delicious. Still to try, pieces of crescent roll dough wrapped over spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese, a sort of stuffed pretzel! The trick with these pans is to cook on low heat and let the pan come up to full heat before adding the butter, etc. As with all cast iron, do not wash the pan after use, just wipe it out. Love the accessories that were included.

Gift
Honestly I got it for a gift for a Christmas present so I don't know how it works, I'm guessing it works good for the fact they never said anything to me

Disappointed
My husband reminded me to Beware of the "AS SEEN ON TV" of course I allowed the kids to talk me into this. It arrived in a package with limited care instructions. I seasoned the pan, then used the oil as suggested, then tried non stick spray. None of these actually prevented the pancake mix from sticking. It was worse when I tried the eggs. The surface is quite bumpy. Just a cheap non stick finish over the Iron which came off almost immediately. I washed as directed, dried and it rusted almost immediately. BUYER BEWARE!I would suggest an Aebleskiver pan (a danish delight now reinvented into the "pancake puff")

Kids love pancake puffs!
This set was missing the filler and the shaker... Which i didn't mind because i never used them on the first pan. As other users have said they are useless. This is the second pan i purchase, the first one three years ago got used almost every weekend but it was put into storage while we relocate to California. My kids couldn't live without pancake puffs so we bought another one and we will leave it with grandma when we find a new home. The puffs took very little practice, i always warm up the pan while i mix the batter. Heat setting is right between 3 & 4 on a 10 scale. Then i use butter to coat the pan, then pour in batter almost full to the rim. Wait until the edges look like they are separating and the middle is slightly bubbly. Then i use one stick to turn by stabbing it all the way down and to the center, slide along the pan to the top and it just flips easily, or i use the second stick to assist.Wash the pan when cooled, and then immediately dry it with a paper towel and pour some cooking oil in it, spread the oil with another paper towel before storing.

Very nice pan
I used it already 5 times to check the cooking effect. It comes out really pretty good after the second time. I liketo add chocolate chip. When it melts in the middle and taste very good. For the jelly or jam , it will be a bit messy.I prefer something a bit solid like strawberry, blueberry, chocolate chip, fruit...etc. The shape will be much nicer.Wonderful!
