Awesome Gift
Great gift! They are fun, but eventually want to go back to regular paddles. Don't get me wrong, they are a lot of fun and a great product in a cool case. Delivered on time and as described. Thank you Seller!

unique but low quality.
Only cool for a month or so then begin to fall apart. You would think quality would be part of the equation for a product that costs 80 bucks.

The blades were a hit!
My son and husband loved the Broadman Blades. Especially how easy it was to put a bit of extra "spin" on the ball!

Dangerous?
My husband was afraid the blades would fly off and break someone's nose. They are well made and come in a nice case.

Interesting concept
My wife gave me the Brodmann Blades as a gift since I am an avid ping-pong enthusiast. I have tried them with some of my friends and here are the results. First of all the concept is intriguing. If you play much ping-pong you know that often there is the "finger shot" where your finger hits the ball rather than the paddle. This problem is virtually eliminated by this new design. I have a large hand and I fit into the "blades" fairly well. The rubber surface is excellent with great grip and speed. On the down side, using these blades takes away about 6 inches of reach. This I find very important since this is where I found the greatest difference in playing. Forehand slams were just as effective, but backhand play was a little more difficult to get used to. However, if both players were using the blades then perhaps the attributes would be on an even playing field. I don't think I will use them for playing serious ping-pong just yet, but with more practice, who knows.Over all the playing was fun and different and I had little trouble adapting to the idea. Some of my friends were less adapt. I see no reason why these blades would not be sanctioned by the TTA, as clearly there is no advantage, and for people who may have lost grip with their hands this paddle idea would be terrific.

Great Idea, Good Control, but far from amazing.
So I just recently purchased this paddle set because I was deeply intersted in the idea of a paddle glove. The set comes in a very nice sturdy case and is exactly as it is pictured. I 've been playing with them for roughly a month now and I find i've had to make some major changes to the paddle almost immidiatly to accomidate an active everyday player. As it stands out of the box this is great for the occasional fun and to be honest is a very good deal for two relatively decent paddles. The things that bothered me the most was the cheap rubbers that were installed. I mean cheap in two ways as well. The rubber itself was not high quality and the construction was a little shoddy as well because after only 3 days the rubber itself starting becoming detached from the blades. I have had to replace the rubber on both sides with a higher quality more responsive rubber. Also due to the design I have added using a rubber/cloth combo glove to reduce slipage and have added a wrist band just for fear of the blade flying off my hand. I'm primarily a foreharnd player which means more slams so I was very concerned for players and bystanders at my work. Overall since I have made my changes I'm very happy. Control is where I want it. The ability to put the spin where you need it is crazy awesome. For the casual player these is a great, great combo deal. If you are a more serious player this can be a serious and amazing blade if you invest your time and money into making it so.

Very intuitive feel. May not be suitable for large hands.
I'm a former tournament table tennis player (from my youth). I played with the Brodman Blades for the first time yesterday. I found the forehand stroke to be extremely intuitive and natural. There was no learning curve for me whatsoever. If anything, my forehand shots were more accurate, and I felt improved confidence. I was hitting winners with confidence from the very first practice shot. The backhand took a little more getting used to, but I was getting the hang of it. The biggest issue to report is the FIT. To achieve good control over the paddle, you must insert your hand all the way so that the crook of your thumb squeezes the oval cut-out between the two blades. (By the way, this thumb cut-out is on only one side, forcing you to play red-side as forehand, and black-side as backhand if you're right-handed). I don't have particularly long fingers, but my middle finger stuck out past the end of the paddle almost a full inch (i.e. most of the top joint of my middle finger protruded beyond the top of the paddle). I haven't played enough with the Brodman to say if this is a serious drawback or not -- after all, if you hit the ball on the paddle, whether your finger(s) protrude or not really doesn't make a difference -- it just felt and looked a little weird, in my opinion. And, I have several friends whose hands are quite a bit larger than mine... As for the comments concerning the decreased 'reach' of this paddle vs. conventional paddles with handles -- I didn't notice this difference on the forehand side, but did on the backhand side. With a little getting used to, though, I don't think this will be a significant issue. Overall, it was a very fun experience. It felt like playing HANDBALL with a table tennis ball, and I really enjoyed it.
