Initially, it seemed too advanced for our 23 month old twins, but they soon picked it up and would spend 30 minutes at a time colouring the pages with lots of concentration. One would carefully colour the shapes, and the other would quickly colour the whole page!Tip - if you keep the back cover on, then you can keep the pen in the plastic hole it came in by turning it around - it kind of clips in (which keeps the pen and book together, and the girls like putting the pen in and taking it out again).

Highly recommend. Bought these for my two little ones as Christmas presents and they absolutely love them. They’re really thick so don’t have to worry about pages tearing or coming off. The pens are a nice size for small hands and can easily last for colouring in the whole book. They’d be great for taking in the car for long journeys. There are only 5 pages, due to the thickness but still enough to keep the kids interested, especially the look and find versions, which have different numbers of hidden characters to find on the pages. Great for helping with counting and recognising numbers. They don’t take too long to dry but also last long enough to colour the full page and look at the picture. Only slight downside is that a couple of our pictures have scratched on the top layer and so reveal the colour underneath - just from an overzealous toddler colouring. I wouldn’t say they scratch easily though and they haven’t affected their use as only very small scratches. - I don’t think an older child would end up scratching it. They have been very well used already in the short time we’ve had them and had hours of fun. So much better than the use once versions. Like them so much that I’ve even bought some as presents for other children and they have been a hit with them too.

My planet loving three year old needed some activities to keep him busy on his first plane ride. He loves colouring and painting. This just uses water so is much easier to keep tidy than felts or multiple crayons rolling all over the tray table!

its impressive how much attention children pay to this book, they love it. what I find useful is thats reusable and only need water!
