Not sure how much weight but we have a granite countertop that weighs around 200 lbs. We put the braces 16 inches apart on an overhang of 18 inches. Ask the company that is putting the countertops in, ours told us what was needed. It saved us hundreds by installing the brackets ourselves.

How many and at what length should I use for a 11' x 30" x 1.5" floating countertop? It'll be supportedby ledger board on 3 walls, and weighs 160lbs.
