CherryC Professional Comb Set Specially, Clipper Guard Set Attachment Combs Portable Durable Metal for Premium Home

I’ve never written a review immediately after receiving a product I’ve ordered. This is my first time.I’m going to preference my review by saying that I have not used these guide comb attachments yet. I’m fairly confident these guide combs will work. Here’s why.When, I received the guide combs and unpacked them, I noticed quickly that they were put together well. I purchased to replace two guide combs that no longer attach to my clippers due to broken plastic fastening clips. I use a Wahl 5-Star Legend clipper. I compared the Cherry C guide combs with my original Wahl guide combs. The Cherry C guide combs appear to be constructed of a more durable plastic material. That was the first positive with the Cherry C guide combs.The second thing I did in my comparison was to see if the measurements of the Cherry C guide combs matched my original Wahl guide combs. The Cherry C and the Wahl guide combs matched identically! If the Cherry C guide combs measures were off in the slightest, it would have been disappointing because that could possibly affect my haircuts. That was the second positive!The last aspect and maybe most importantly, I checked the fit of the Cherry C guide combs on my actual clippers. It was hard to determine with certainty, if the Cherry C guide combs would work for the model of Wahl clippers I use based on the product’s description. I did locate in the Q&A section that the Cherry C guide combs fit all Wahl professional clippers. But hey! You don’t know until you know, right? That’s one of the disadvantages to shopping online. However, I can gladly say, if you are purchasing the Cherry C guide combs for a Wahl 5-Star Legend, Cherry C guide combs fit perfectly! The Cherry C guide combs fit more securely than the original Wahl guide combs that came with my Wahl 5-Star Legend clippers. When I placed a few of the Cherry C guide combs (the sizes I needed the replacements for) you can hear a noticeable snap sound from the metal clip. I don’t think the Cherry C guide combs will come off the clippers until you remove them yourself. They won’t come off easily while cutting hair anyway. That’s 1, 2, 3 positives before even using! And with that being said, I believe, I should not have an issue when using the Cherry C guide combs during hair cutting (but I will update later if there’s a new development).Finally, If you’re on the fence about purchasing the Cherry C guide combs for your Wahl professional clippers or 5-Star Legends, I am recommending that purchase and you will probably do a positive review yourself!Oh! I just thought of another positive! As I stated earlier, I only needed to replace two of my original Wahl guide combs. I found the two I needed on the Wahl website. Wahl did not have a set of guide combs with the metal clips and only had three individual guide combs (the smallest sizes) with metal clips available to order. Each guide comb on the Wahl site was priced slightly above $4 each (kind of weird, like $4.05 or something). I was contemplating whether to buy the only three guide combs with the metal clip offered on the Wahl website or the Cherry C version with 10 guide combs. I decided based on the positive Amazon reviews to go with the Cherry C guide combs. I’m glad I did so far! 3 guide combs from Wahl = $12.16 + tax/shipping vs. 10 guide combs from Cherry C for under $30. No brainner!

I was really excited about getting this guide comb set. I have a mix and match of different guide combs that I've collected over the years. Among them, I had a couple that, like these, have the metal clip instead of the all plastic type and I like using them because they attach more securily onto the clipper. So I was looking forward to now having a full set of metal clip guide combs for my clippers. Only, when I opened the plastic bag they came in, the very first guide comb that I pulled out (#6) didn't have a metal clip at all. It was just a standard WAHL #6 all plastic type that I already have! No kidding... it really is a Wahl branded guide comb. A bit of a head scratches there. Anyway, all of the other guide combs are as described (unbranded) and all have the metal clip, only the #6 is different. If it were any of the other guides that I rarely use, I wouldnt mind so much, but I use the #6 quite a bit. To complicate things a bit further, I'm an ex-pat living in South America, so returning the set for an exchange really isn't worth all the hassle or expense. So I guess I'm stuck with it. Kind of a bummer. But I must say that all of the other combs (the ones with the metal clips) are super nice. Really good quality and they click on to my clippers very securely. Anyone who has a clipper that can fit Wahl guide combs should consider these.

Very similar to the Wahl premium guards. These do seem to be of softer materials. Clip is ok, one popped off while cutting hair. But I'm sure i was pressing down to hard.

The guards are great and pretty sturdy but the 1/16th (half) guard had a slight defect on the metal clip, it was wobbly and it did not fit as snug as the other guards. The #1 guard also had a bent tooth and it was not straight. I was slightly disappointed but there is nothing you can do about it. Overall, these guards are definitely a bang for your buck but the quality wasn’t all there.

It asked me to rate the thickness which I dont really understand but they are very solid, more so than the stock guards. I use Wahl magic clips and the guards attach very securely. No way they are going to pop off or shift at all while using.Also, I have my clippers blade set closer than they come out of the box and this has not had any effect on the guards.I really like the guard #s are on a little silver plate, makes em look nice IMO.Overall a good purchase. Some kind of case would be nice but at the price I can't complain.

The guards on the left are from Cherry C the ones on the right are from Wahl which cost more. Both are sold on Amazon. If you notice the Cherry C gaurds come with 1/2 to 8 gaurd. On the other hand the Wahl comes with 1 to 8 gaurd minus the 1½ gaurd. Not only that but just a little detail that I really like about the Cherry C gaurds is the brush steel on the gaurd comes with a plastic protective film as seen in the picture. You decide two extra gaurds for less or two less gaurds for the name Wahl and $10 more. Delivery time takes a little longer but dont believe the two month delivery time. Its more like two weeks.

This set fits my WALH Senior Cordless perfectly. However, it won't fit all clippers, so do a Google search to check compatibility...they do not fit my corded Oster Fast Feed (one of the best old school clippers ever made).Careful at the onset with taking them off to switch to another clipper attachment. I found it took a bit of technique but once mastered, wow...they work great.dp

These guards are a great replacement for most wahl clippers. Fit is secure and seems to be made of sturdy materials.

Satisfied. Can’t see much of a difference between the originals and these ones.

Didn't fit the Oster clipper that I used, become garbage now 😓😓
