Works great on a Cordoba Guilele
I bought this doodad to attach a strap to a Cordoba Mini. The leather is thin enough it tucks under the strings easily and looks nice. Unfortunately, if I attach it next to the nut, my hand hits it when playing in the first position. If I attach it in the middle of the head stock, my hand has plenty of room but this strap adapter is too short and, subsequently, the strap jams against the tuning knob, causing the guitar to go out of tune in the heat of play. It the adapter was an inch longer it would work but, as is, is a fail for my Cordoba Mini. However, it fits my Kremona Mari Tenor ukulele and my wife's Cordoba Guilele perfectly: the slotted head stock allows attachment in the middle of the head, avoiding hand bumps. So she's happy to toss her shoestring and I'll have to make my own longer adapter and put up with a shoestring for a while.

Does what it's suppose to do
Decent headstock adapter. I got the black, but should have gotten the brown. The leather isn't stiff, but it's almost too thin and soft. Also its a bit too polished for my taste and contrasts a bit with any of my straps. But it does what its suppose to do and doesn't look bad.

Wish it worked for me...
Beautiful, well-made, sturdy. But, too wide for the neck of my classical guitar...7/8 inch...got in the way a bit. Also, it is a little too thick to slide easily under the strings right above the nut...I had to push and pull it through forcibly. The thickness of the leather, along with its button, made it impossible for me to attach my guitar strap, which has fairly thick, stiff leather tongues. It would probably work on a larger guitar, with a strap that has softer more flexible button tongues. The neck button strap is a really great idea, and I will be looking for a narrower neck strap with a smaller button. If this company makes one that will work for me, I'll gladly buy it. Their products are excellent.

Great on mandolin head
Not sure how it performs on other instruments, but this was a perfect piece to attach a strap to my mandolin on the head

Works Great - Looks Good, Too.
Works great -- far better than the string-like leather thongs I had my strap tied off with -- and seems very sturdy. Button is tight when on the strap, not loose, so I doubt it will slip off. (Had to work the strap a bit to get it in.) Very pleased initially. We'll see how it holds up, but I don't expect any problems. Oh, and it's a good-looking item, too.

Cheap fix. Works well enough.
Works well, kind of a pain to take on and off as leather not super thick and tends to curl after a few uses which makes it difficult to thread under the strings at the hehadstock.

Great product!
I like this much better than having a leather string, or the like, flapping in the wind and looking gaudy on my instrument. They do not interfere with the mandolin/guitar strings at all and they look great and professional. I will be buying another for my new guitar. I highly recommend these over leather strings.IMO, Walker & Williams only make quality products, you can't go wrong with them!
