Slush Cup

This product is OK. It takes a fair amount of effort to get fruit juice, etc, to a truly slushy consistency (my 8yo needs my help to get it to work), and the amount of slushy left over after you take out the cubes is pretty small.

I wish I had been the person who thought this up. It is a simple concept and great fun for the kids. The product is selling for more than it's worth but it seems to be the 'it thing to have this year' and it's not horribly expensive so people are willing to buy it.This is a cup, a lid, three plastic ice cubes and a straw. That is it. The ice cubes are essentially salt water in a silicone sealed up cube. Similar to making ice cream, you freeze the ice cubes and they get very cold and then they freeze the liquid around them. However because they are small the don't completely freeze the liquid, thus making a slush.We have tried a wide variety of liquids. We have tried just about everything but milk at this time. When you do this with cokes it slushes but the coke or soda melts quickly right back into liquid so it does not stay 'slushed' very long.The directions are very clear. The process to slush stuff is very easy.The con to this product is that it comes with a straw but it does not have a place to put the straw. The hole on the top of the lid is not big enough to put the straw in it. The hole is simply there to let off the gas produced when you shake up your coke to slush it. It would take very little to make a place to store the straw but since there isn't one, I would rate this a low 5 stars.The product works as advertised, it is fun to use and easy to use.Enjoy.

If you are buying this with high expectations...DONT. My 6 year old son used his Christmas money on this after seeing it on tv over and over...we got it and what a JOKE ! The 3 large cubes you put in it to make the slush...almost fills the cup, you shake vigorously for 5 minutes (not anything with carbonation) and take these large cubes out and you have about 2 inches of slush made.My son is so heartbroken that he spent his money on this and it went back in the box and is sitting on the shelf. He said Mommy you make better slushes .

What a great way to give your kid a healthy snack that they think is so fun. There is a trick to this that is not on the directions. Once you pour the liquid in you have to put back in the freezer for 10 minutes before you shake. This makes all the difference. If you do it this way it works perfect everytime.The only drawback is having to pull out the plastic ice cubes from the slushy you just made. Otherwise its a great product.My son loves orange juice slushies and he thinks its dessert!!!!

It wore me out trying to make 3 oz of slush. Not as easy as they say. Got light headed...had to lay down and watch Spongebob for awhile. Should come with a warning: HELPS TO BE AN AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR

This was a Christmas gift for one of my nieces. She was really excited when she opened...said that she wanted it "all her life"...she later commented that that meant ever since she first saw the commercial. LOL! :) Hope you find this helpful and consider buying it for someone in your life.

Its too hard for kids to shake and for parents you really have to shake it hard to get something that looks like a slushy. You have to shake for a bit and still don't get the results you want. Better off making a slushy in a blender. So disappointed in it.

My daughter wanted this so bad so we ordered it, but is not really what we expected. The cup is so oversized and anything with too much fizz, goes everywhere. Daughter loved it though.

Good quality and cool product but it’s unreadonable to have a child try to make a slushie with this. My arms were tired from shaking it. It’s good but a team effort.
