Easy and spacious, yet compact
Chose this product after much deliberation. I was looking for a beach tent which popped up, had mesh screens for venting, pockets for storing, and a closable front flap... all in a size big enough to comfortably hold 2 -3 adults and a toddler... oh but small enough to fit in my convertible trunk (30x32). This checked the boxes.Very very pleased! Took other product review advise and practiced opening a couple times in the yard. Little tricky the first time. But by the second I could feel 'the right way'. When out on a windy east coast FL beach, I was able to put it up and strategically stake it secure, then fill the sand bags...all by myself! People later admitted to watching me and were impressed how well it was holding in the 12-15 mph winds. I was too! 5 min to put up, secure, and situatate my stuff. Equally short time to empty, bring it down, and pack up. Pretty good, I think, since I like stuff neat and packable. One note: I have a C-gear sand blanket which I placed over the front flap on the ground. (Love this blanket more than I can express.) It held down the light weight material. Otherwise, the flap needs to be secured with items (shoes, bag, etc) as it blew around in the wind. Not a big deal for me, since it exceeded my expectations everywhere else. Can't wait to try on my own gulf beaches this weekend!Picture note: my 5'8" son could lay with room to spare.

Great tent for the beach, back yard, camping, or a little privacy ( wink-wink ).
I purchased this tent while looking for an easy tent my wife and I could set up in a pinch for our burgeoning outdoor adventures. As a photographer, I've purchased tents before, but like most things at WallyWorld ( aka:W.M. ) - I didn't find anything durable or of exceptional quality for my exact needs. Everything was either too big, or it ripped too easily. I also wanted something that would be a different color that green or brown, large enough for my wife and I, and that could be opened and closed very quickly. We did some research and wanted a tent which would be weather resistant and capable of being deployed quickly, and with the versatility of being useable on the beach as well as to retreat to when shooting in a field in the middle of the night. I was recently able to use it and was impressed with it's ability to withstand some of the windy conditions above Shenandoah state park while shooting starscapes, although since it's now winter - I have to admit that being able to have warm blankets inside was a helpful thing to have in between waiting between exposures. The Arcshell tent fits those descriptions very VERY well. We have been able to deploy it within 30 seconds and see that the sand pouches ensure you can anchor the tent quickly without having to use the stakes. As for the interior, it's spacious enough for two people or several children. The zipper allows you to open it completely so for easy access and the bug screens will be exceptionally useful during the summer when it's warmer and we want ventilation ( sans bugs ). This is not a 3 season tent, but it will keep out a light rain, keep away bugs, and provide privacy for those extra special moments on the field. The dome also provides a good height for it's size, and it's long enough that I can stretch out comfortably ( I'm over 6 feet tall ).Oh - and the interior pockets were helpful when we deployed it, easily able to hold a cell phone and my portable battery charger for my camera batteries. If you're looking for a great tent for some privacy, day trips, or a trip to the beach - this is a great tent for you. We highly recommend it!

This works great!
I practiced setting this tent up once, at home, before heading to the beach. It was surprisingly simple to do. The beach was a little different, with sand and a fair breeze to deal with. But it was, once again, very easy to set up. The instructions, printed on the storage bag, are all you'll need.I started by spreading out the tent, as much to tell the front from the back as to unfold and lay out the support rods. I put one stake in the sand, attached to the right (as you face the tent) front loop, as a anchor. That way I could rotate the tent to adjust for sun, wind, ocean view, etc. Once that was done, I staked the other front corner, popped up the tent (tying the two cords into a bow), and finished by pushing in two stakes through the two loops at the back of the tent. I'm sure things would be different if the winds were higher, but we had winds over 20mph with no issues. We did not need to fill the attached sandbags for any additional ballast. The tent was reasonably roomy. We had two camp chairs and cooler inside. We left the front flap folded inside the tent; that way it collected sand we tracked in. When we were ready to leave we just lifted the flap and dumped out the sand. There is really an incredible amount of storage in the netting pockets above the rear window and beneath the side windows. We had cell phones, snacks, sun block, etc., all very secure and accessible. There was plenty of air moving through to remain comfortable. To take it down, just push down on the two labelled arms (after you untie your bow) and the tent collapses. Free the joints on the supports, fold the arms in, and roll the tent up. It fit nicely in its storage bag. Very easy. We'd say it was a very good purchase and functioned just as advertised.

Wonderful protection on the beach
This was the best purchase we made for our beach trip. Our first day was very windy (red flag for swimmers) and tent stayed put and provided a windshield as well as sun protection. I loved all the little pockets inside and the windows. Mostly, opening and closing was easy! We practiced at home before we got to the beach because we have seen other people really struggle to put beach tents together and felt badly for them. But, this was a piece of cake for my husband and I to do together. I will say that I'm only 5' 2" and had trouble with pulling the top up and pushing it down myself. But, having a tall husband made it easy. It's not that I couldn't reach it but couldn't get the right leverage by myself.
