Gerber Good Start Baby Formula Powder, Gentle Supreme, Stage 1, 20 Ounce (Previously Named A2)

We have tried all types of Similac and Enfamil that we've got from their sample boxes.Main Problems with Similac: Clumping, fishy iron smell, foam does not go away even couple hours in the fridge.Main Problems with Enfamil: Expensive and made my baby's poop like playdoh consistency, he got bad constipation.We even tried the regular orange label Gerber but made my baby's poop grey.Gerber A2 formula is the best because...Best smelling formula - no fishy or iron smells. It actually smells good.Never clumps and dissolves really well even with slight shake of bottleIngredient composition is like breastmilk - 1st ingredient- Lactose, 2nd- fat (oils) , 3rd- protein and of course A2 casien (did some online research - best I could )Baby digested milk quicker than other formulas which helps with digestion but got hungrier a little sooner than other formulasBaby cried less and seemed happier.I hope this formula stays around. It's been a tremendous help for my baby. Thank you Gerber!

My baby tolerated the formula well, it didn’t bubble to much but it only lasted me 4 days. My baby is on 6 oz every 3 hours. Other formulas has at least lasted a week with the same amount consumed.

This is only the second negative review I’ve felt compelled to write in my life. This formula worked great for our little guy until we got a shipment of canisters that were bad. We made the first bottle and I was feeding when I noticed the smell of rancid vegetable oil. I stopped, but diarrhea and vomiting followed. Reflux and fussiness continued through the night. I smelled the canister and then opened the other one, both smelled rancid, and unlike any of the other canisters we purchased of this formula. The package was sealed and the expiration date was November 2022 so we reached out to Gerber. What we got was essentially a form letter advising us to consult with one off their infant nutritionists to find a formula that was better suited to our baby. Way to completely miss the point! As a chemist, I know what rancid oil smells like. The issue wasn’t just this formula doesn’t agree with his tummy. A thanks for bringing this to our attention, and sorry here’s your money back would have been fine, but I guess trying to make me feel like I just don’t know how to feed my child was the way they chose to go. Switched to enfamil A2 and all is well again. I’d give five stars for the formula when it isn’t spoiled, but zero for customer service. Just make sure you check this formula before feeding and don’t expect any help if your product isn’t fresh. Full disclosure, this incident happened just before the rebrand of this product. Makes me wonder, why now?

I love this formula....my son could not handle even the Gerber Sensitive and this was the next best thing. The only downfall for the formula is that they stopped selling it in stores and now I have to purchase online at Amazon, but I am so thankful Amazon carries it and every time I have been able to purchase it for same day arrival if not the next day!

My 4 month old baby consumes expressed milk and is supplemented with formula. I have tried a few other brands and have not loved them, until I gave gerber a try! Gerber’s formula had a similar consistency to breast milk, and is not foamy like some of the other formulas on the market, this makes for a less fussy baby since there aren’t so many air bubbles. It has a smoother silkier feel. It is gentle on my baby’s stomach, and he sleeps well through the night (night feeds are formula). I would highly recommend giving this a try.- Sonia

This was a godsend. And smell is the only other company that makes an A2 formula. And with the Gerber it's less money and a bigger can. And with my son's casein allergy this is the only thing he can keep down

A2 formula was recommended to us by our friend. Our baby has always been gassy and fussy and no formula helped ease her discomfort. This was like a miracle and helped her calm down. We regained our peace of mind. We ended up buying their toddler drink for my brothers son and again it worked like a magic for his little one. Certainly recommend this.
