This cookbook is not for beginners.
I ordered this book hoping to get started with this form of cooking. This book is for the person who has a great deal of experience in this area. Lots of great dishes I'm sure, but not your basic cooking recipes. Get lots of practice before you move on to this cookbook.

Very little information on general guidelines and tips, and a lot of individual recipes. I find that the former is far more useful. I rarely set out to duplicate a recipes, but use guidelines either given directly or divine them from recipes, then construct my own. There is really not enough in the way of teaching in this book, I must find another.

Great book! If you want to know more about sous vide and want some great recipes, this is your book
What a great cookbook for anyone to venture out into the incredible world of Sous Vide cooking. Book is well written, has some great recipes and really helps to explain the method and benefits of sous vide.
