A larger lift force is not necessarily better
The pneumatic gas springs do their work. However the key is getting the force right.I used them for wardrobe shutters that lift up. If the force is too less, the shutter will not lift. If the force is too high, you will end up damaging the gas springs when closing the shutters. The plastic construction of the gas springs is designed for accurate planning and installation - not approximations followed by brute force to get the thing to work.I used a 150N gas spring for plywood shutters that were 900-1050mm wide x 450mm tall x 30mm thick.I also read in one of the comments that the flap side hinge was getting bent and that the strut was popping out of the sockets. I have faced both these problems before I realised my mistake and resolved them.Flap side hinge getting bent : this is a typical symptom when the gas spring is over rated for the shutter. The reviewer seems to have used 250N whereas a lower force rating may be more suitable.Popping out of sockets : The sockets have a cover that locks the strut. it should be used. Moreover the alignment of both the hinges needs to be in a straight line. This would minimise any chances of popping out.

Replaced old 10kg ones with new 15kg hydraulics.
The media could not be loaded. Previously have 10 kg hydraulics on the cupboard which lasted for 2-3 years( some other brand). This time bought 15kg. The product comes with all the instructions about the distance where to place the holders and screws. Each box have two hydraulics, two screw sets for each hydraulic. As i have similar holders already on my cupbord i didn't use them, just replaced the hydraulic sticks( very easy to change ). Will find out how many days these will work.

Some parts are substandard
The gas lifts work fine but the end joints are made of substandard and flimsy materials. I had to replace those from my old gas lifts.

Bad
The product was very nice when I purchased first time. But it is very bad experience when I purchased it second time, the supplier sent a faulty Spring.I went for replacement, again they sent faulty Spring. 3rd time same ditto. Then I returned it. I got back my money but waste of time.

Weight capacity is not correct.
Received the Volo gas spring in good order. The weight of the upward opening flap/door is less than 2 kg.I ordered a 5 kg Volo gas spring. The gas spring does not hold the 2 kg flap up and just closes immediately. How is one to determine the correct weight capacity of the gas spring for a flap of 2 kg?Another issue is the direction of gas spring. In some images the gasspring is facing upward for upward opening flap/door.In other images the gasspring is facing downward for upward opening flap/door.What is the correct installation direction?
