I have used it as a coating for sautéing. Lovely crispy. As a mashed potato and in fish cakes/kebabs. An excellent product when fresh potatoes aren't available and even when they are!

I buy this a lot and it’s great , but it’s always underweight , my scales are excellent and for fairness I compare with a known weight packaged item . I did mention this to the seller , but no reply . They provide a phone number , I do not have a mobile with free calls so refuse to spend money on a land line to complain

pricey but worth it

This is a great product, however, it's a 3 to 1 mix if you want a soft mash and a 2 to 1 mix if you want fluffy. Anything more is soup. With a good nob of butter and a tablespoon of dried milk in a 2 to 1 mix plus seasoning, you can't tell the difference. I highly recommend, but not at the 3 or 4 to 1 ratio stated on the packet. At 3 to 1 = 3kg of mashed potato = £12.50 (ish) - quite expensive really when to acquire an everyday consistency requires 2 to 1. A very useful product nonetheless, but if you're in food panic mode. it states it's good til 2022 which if dried correctly should be nonsense and be good for many years. My advice would be to decant and vacuum pack for yourself to ensure those many years. .

I always use dried potato either powdered or flaked. I took a punt on this product because I needed a lot of potato in. A bit expensive but does a really good job. Add a bit of milk and a bit of butter and the right amount of water for your own particular taste and it comes out great.The 2kg bags are quite large so once you add water that's a heck of a lot of mashed potato.
