Barricade 18-Inch Fog Light Extension Harness Compatible with 11-24 Jeep Wrangler JK & JL

I'm just going through some of my old purchases so I can note durability.I've had these on for a couple of years now, and they are fine.They are precisely what you need when changing out a Jeep Wrangler JK, JKU, JL or JLU bumper and needed more length for your fog light wiring.Another reviewer mentioned needing a dust or water boot. There was no water or dust boot on the fog lamp end of the original wiring. So I am not worried abou tthat.

I just got a new front bumper for my 2011 wrangler JK that had some nice LEDs to replace the old factory fog lights. I was able to easily splice the wires from the new LEDs to this harness kit and they plugged directly into the old harness for the factory fog lights. They come with instructions for running wires directly to the fise box but there is no need. Simply cut the female end of this cable off, splice the wires together and you'll be able to connect your new lights to the old factory fog light harness. And the best part is your fog light switch will power up your new LEDs. Basic cables for a good price, just what I needed.

Ordered these so i could maintain the easy plug and unplug feature of factory connectors after adding an aftermarket bumper with multiple lights built into it to my Jeep Wrangler. I didn't want to create any weaknesses or mistakes by trying to splice directly into the Jeep wiring in case i ever need to remove the bumper for any reason or replace the lights it would be easy to disconnect and do so without any damage or modification to my original Jeep wiring. Whenever i upgrade anything i try to do so in a way (as much as possible) that it can easily be put back to factory if needed later. This usually takes a little more work, time and planning in the beginning of any project, but its worth it in the long run. It also allowed me to wire them up so a separate switch was not needed for the bumper lights as they now work with the factory fog light switch the Jeep comes with. I ordered several of these harness with the plugs and i spliced the harnesses together in a way to hook up multiple lights but need only the two factory Jeep fog light wiring connectors to run them all (left & right side). Again preserving the integrity of the original Jeep wiring. Upgraded but like factory, no extra buttons mounted inside the Jeep cabin. They work as expected, fit perfect. Only criticism is i noticed the connector blades inside the actual plug were a bit thin and if you were not careful to plug the male to female portions together just right (straight) they would miss the input area and bend inside the plug. Fortunately i never broke one and was able to straighten and fix but you do need to be careful to line up the internal pins before pushing completely into place. So they are good for install and disconnect as needed very seldomly but not durable enough for regular or repeated plug and unplug use-functions.

Ordered harnesses for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Harnesses arrived promptly but would not fit my OEM fog light harness connections. Product description said it would fit but it did not. First problem - incorrect product description.Returned promptly. I contacted Vendor to complain about return shipping cost for a problem that was due to no fault of mine. Customer Service Rep stated I would not be charged return shipping and they would refund the entire amount when the harnesses arrived, (I have the email). The refund was posted to my account several days later, but Seller did in fact charge me for the return shipping. Second problem - Customer service does not follow through with their promise.Bottom line - This Seller publishes inaccurate product descriptions and does not honor their word. Never again will I waste my time or money with this Seller.

Easy plug and play install. Beats making your own. Loomed and taped up looks factory.

The cables were exactly what we needed to wire in an aftermarket bumper with fog lights into our JL Wrangler. The connection has the same watertight gasket and clips as the original.
