PDP Xbox 360 Kinect Extension Cable

This review will be short sweet and simply to the point....If you want an extension cable that's actually compatible with Kinect because of the cut-out male to female connectivity of the cord, then buy this:  Xbox 360 Kinect Extension Cable .... I should know I bought the  Xbox 360 Kinect Extension Cable  it actually connects to my Kinect (I know play on words)... unfortunately for me I also bought this one: " Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable " for my nephews for this coming Christmas (because it's cheaper).. and it doesn't connect to my nephews Kinect at all (I know another play on words, I just had to).... the " Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable " is just a regular standard usb extension cable, nothing more nothing less. Only thing holding this product back is it's price $49.99.UPDATE: Saturday 1/8/2011 I've notice the price has been cut from $49.99 to $41.78, if only it could come down a little more would be perfect $29.60 maybe????UPDATE #2: Monday 1/24/2011 Weird Amazon is editing my review from when I originally wrote the price tag of $49.99 Amazon edits it with [...], I'm just being honest.. at the time I purchased this item last year it did cost $49.99 now I see Amazon sellers selling it at/for $29.79I'm not trying to hurt Amazon from selling to potential buyers but you gave the buyers of your products the choice/option to write an honest review and that's what I'm trying to do... End rant.I also bought:  Xbox 360 Kinect Wall Mount  which is another 'PDP' Microsoft approved product that's actually a little cheaper then the other mounts (Pssssst..Amazon sellers are over charging for this mount, buy it from Gamestop for $14.99).. it works great. So stick with 'PDP' for all your Kinect needs.

When I ran all the cables for my media area I was very disappointed to discover my Kinect would not work with the normal USB extension I had run from the receiver to the front of the media area. Fortunately, this cable was not too expensive and did the trick. Seems to work great after several hours of use. No dropped service issues at all.

This is the only cable that will work with the XBox 360 S Kinect package. You cannot use any other off-brand USB cable (I've tried). So if you bought a XBox package with the Kinext sensor included you will need this cable. The cable works great but it's too short (9ft). I tried to order two and daisy chain them together but it didn't work. So unfortunately my Kinect sensor bar has to always be with 16ft of the console. Bad situtation for a home theater. Thought I would pass along the info so others don't learn the hard way.

I purchased it thinking I didn't want to go with the cheapest product in fear that it wouldn't work. I should have read the reviews. Like so many other people who wrote a review, this cable did not work. I do have an older Xbox360 that has the Power Supply for the Kinect sensor so I don't know if that is the problem. It seems that most people are saying they are having more success with the newer Xbox360s that do not require the additional power supply.Overall, do not buy this cable. Read the Reviews for the other units available and purchase those that state it works.

If I were a more patient man I would've waited for the $5.00 chinese knockoff that I'm sure is just around the corner. But no, I had to utilize my kinect ASAP, and using a projector for my TV, I needed that extra ten feet. But $50.00 is outrageous for what is probably about $2.50 worth of materials. Be patient, don't fall into the same trap I did.Don't get me wrong, the kinect is an awesome addition to the 360, and it's motion sensing puts the wii to shame. But $50.00 is too much money.

This product was exactly as stated. Perfect for it's purpose. Unfortunitaly the Kinect system that was also bought already had the cord, the product description was not clear. Now I have an extension cable I do not need, :(

I purchased the kinect extension cable to run my kinect on a tv separate than the tv that i usually play my xbox on. My one tv is on one side of the stairs leading to the upstair of my home and the other tv is wall mounted on the other side of the stairs. There are two walls separating the tvs, but with the purchase of the extension cable, I had plenty of wire to make my idea work. The device still works well and now my family can use the kinect in the room where there is plenty of room to play without having to move the xbox and clutter up the room. It is very neat because the only thing to be seen in the kinect room is the tv and the kinect. People wonder where the xbox is, until I tell them about the kinect extension cord. Great product. The seller of this item is a nice gentleman as well. I received the wrong item at first and he gave me a full refund right away and sent me the original item I ordered free of charge along with a shipping envelope for the item I received which I gladly shipped to the rightful owner. Problem solved. I recommend this item and I would recommend purchasing from this dealer.

Theres not much to review here other than it works or not. And it works for me. Not sure why Microsoft didn't just use standard USB connection, maybe power requirements, but this did the job for me. I would take a star off the rating for this, but since thats Microsoft's decision not the manufacturer of this, I won't. I really didn't need more length but wanted something to wire in my entertainment center so I could remove kinect when not used without pulling the wires all out. This does the job. Price a lot cheaper now based off some reviews. I would rate it low if i payed $50 like some but for less than $10 its a good buy now.

Das Kabel wurde gut verpackt und schnell geliefert.Es macht einen guten stabilen Eindruck und die Stecker passen auf Anhieb.Man muss hier allerdings beachten das dieses Kabel NUR für die Xbox360 Slim ist, da diese den Strom für den Kinect Sensor über das Kabel überträgt.Habe mir das Kabel zwei mal bestellt und diese mit einander verbunden, das klappt ebenfalls problemlos.Für Xbox360 Slim Benutzer nur zu empfehlen.

Hi Leute,habe gestern das Kabel erhalten und habe mich wahnsinnig gefreut. Das Kabel direkt angeschlossen und die XBOX 360 eingeschaltet. Aber dann viel mir auf das Kinect nicht von der 360 erkannt wird. Ich dachte mir erst, das ich einen kleinen Moment warten muss. Nach einer halben Stunde habe ich es aufgegeben. Habe nach Lösungsansätzen im Internet gesucht aber nichts brauchbares gefunden. Entweder das Kabel ist defekt oder es funktioniert einfach nicht.Auf der Verpackung steht auf jeden Fall, das meine XBOX 360 Kompatibel ist, und ich keine zusätzlich Stromversorgung benötige. Somit ist das Kabel für mich nutzlos.
