I read this entire book in two sittings. I would have finished it in one but I had to force myself to put it down. I have been a Christian for many years. To me, this man's story was very encouraging. I have prayed, often over the years, for God to reach Muslims in their dreams. This brother is a living example of how Jesus can reach people for His glory, even in countries that have made it a capitol offense if you become a Christian. Much of this story was harrowing, but even still, I find that encouraging. It bolsters my faith to read about someone so courageous for his faith in Jesus. I remember the first time I read Jesus Freaks, I feel the same about that book. Many stories of (mostly) martyrs for our faith but it was very encouraging to me to know just how strong Jesus will be in and through us when we allow Him to rule and reign in our lives. I highly recommend this book and I also highly recommend that you support all of our brothers and sisters in Muslim countries by much prayer and, if possible, financial assistance. Perhaps you are called to travel to a closed country to witness for our faith. This is a great book to read for that reason and as I have said, just to bolster your faith and strengthen your courage for Christ. Our country is beginning to condemn us for our beliefs. I've known Ahmed for awhile. I can testify to his character and his honesty, and his genuine faith and passionate zeal for the Lord and for his people. I've heard parts of his testimony here and there, but to read it from cover to cover really shows the glory of God and His loving faithfulness, clearly in his life. Please buy this book, read it, and let your life be inspired and transformed to live for His glory!

I won this book from Goodreads after reading I am to review. This book is written by Ahmed Joktan and his conversion to Christianity from Islam. Every Christian needs to read this book.

This is such a powerful account of how we serve the sovereign King of Kings and Lord of Lords! That the High King of Heaven can miraculously reach someone from the jihadist Saudi culture and transform him instantaneously. This is a story of a modern day Apostle Paul ...transformed to love, joy, faith, and a heart for sharing the good news to those that are lost even at such a tremendous cost and sacrifice to himself. I was so moved to the point of tears while reading much of his testimony. I was so encouraged and inspired at the power of our Risen Lord in the midst of such dire circumstances and impossible odds.

A very candid book on a Saudi citizen’s faith experience which started in New Zealand… His Rambo like life, after being hunted by the Saudi government and the torture that he went through for making a faith choice is quite eye opening.

I read this in less than a day. If I'm interested in a book I am not able to move, sometimes if I'm quick I will run to use the bathroom with the book! This was one of those books ! Loved it and made me think " how dare I think myself so smart, or , too smart ,not to believe " Books like this ,has me thinking that there are still good Godly people around. Thanks for some very insightful thinking and many prayers to a brother who " walks the walk" .

This is one of the best books I have read on Muslims becoming Christians. I learned things in here I did not know !
