These are exact replacement filters. If you regularly, with a vacuum, clean the fine screen filter & Carbon odor filter, the filters last a pretty long time. It would be nice to see them supply just the HEPA filter as this is the one that needs regular replacement. We run this WINIX 24 hrs a day and we love it.

I dunno. I am not sitting here with a room full of instrumentation trying to figure out if these filters are as good as the ones offered by Winix. But all experience with this brand indicates that they are doing a very effective job of removing particles and pollution from the air in my house, and they seem to last as long as the “factory originals.” So given that they are about 1/2 the price of Winix filters, even when Winix is on sale, I’m going to stick with these for now and maybe forever. One positive factor is that the weight of the filters is comparable to Winix, so it feels like they are not cutting corners just to attain a lower price point. Recommended!

I cannot tell the difference between this vendor and the higher priced brand name replacement parts. I feel like sometimes you get the same thing from the manufacturer which means you are getting shafted by the BRAND name supplier.

I have the Winix 5500-2 air purifier and purchased these other filters (the extremely filthy one on the left) but it didn’t fit my unit properly as it was slightly too short. I cut the top part of the OEM off to wedge it in to fit the smaller nonOEM filter but knew that would only work for a short amount of time. The new ones that I purchased I just installed today fit perfectly!! They are not flimsy feeling at all. In fact, I’d swear it was the OEM filter. Absolutely the best filter I’ve ever purchased for my two Winix units that I’ve had for 5 years (give or take) now. Yes, I’ve repurchased OEM filters at a high price because I was sick of the disappointments like the one I just replaced. Not with these new ones, I’m thoroughly impressed! Buy them. I’m not sure why some people gave these bad reviews unless there was just a bad batch? I’m thankful I got these and will purchase them again.

I just bought these Fette filters to replace the filters that came with my Winix 5500–2. There were two sets of filters in the box and each set contained both a HEPA filter and a activated carbon filter. Both filters were identical in size and construction to the filters that originally came in the Winix air purifier. The carbon filter had hexagonal cells each filled with pellets of activated carbon. Both fit filters looked identical to the originals and installed easily. However the price was about half what it would have been if purchased directly from Winix.. Recommended.

Expensive and make my filters ‘change’ button on my machine sound even after new. Seem to work though.

I purchased an original WINIX 5500-2 replacement filter to verify exactly what makes it so expensive compared to these offbrand filters and honestly: you cant tell the difference.In fact, this one is not only more affordable, but the carbon pellet filters are much more packed with carbon pellets which indicate better VOC capturing. This is GREAT.Thanks!

The price could be lower and it would be nice if you could buy the hepa filter separately from the carbon filter .

I don't know if it works, for I don't have a professional testing device.However, I do notice a strong chemical smell that lasted a few days after installation.The carbon filter was so so dusty when opened. I washed it in the shower and I think the tiles are permanently stained. You definitely want to wash it before use and don't breath in those dust.
