Gorgeous skates! Very aesthetically pleasing, certainly something to be excited about. For a beginner going from renting skates at your local rink One of the first things you'll notice is how much more easily the wheels roll and how smooth the trucks are! Awesome bonus is they come with a tool for adjusting the wheels, trucks and even the toe stop (Yeah! The toe stop is adjustable 👍)As a more experienced skater buying these as a gift a few things stood out to me as underwhelming. First thing that struck me as I opened the box after marveling over the beauty was the low quality wheels. In one of the pictures you notice a very clear mold line that is prominent on every wheel. I imagine replacement of this mold line has to do with the pink core and the clear outer portion of the wheel. I was also very surprised to find bits of an exploded wheel all over the skates, easy enough to wipe off but perhaps a testiment to the lower quality wheels. The leather of the boot felt a bit on the thinner side and there were some minor scuffs. This shouldn't be a problem at all if they are worn indoors exclusively. Though I bought them as an indoor/outdoor option. When I was most disappointed in where the bearings. After adjusting them to the best of my ability I found their spin time couldn't even compete with the well worn, 3-year-old bearings on my skates. Don't get me wrong though, I can almost guarantee they will still be better then the skates at your local rink or $60 skates at your sports store.All in all they are fantastic and beautiful skates for beginners! If you want nothing but the best or you are looking for more advanced skates these may not be your best choice. Definitely get what you pay for here, beautiful, good quality skates.

I have three other pairs from other brands, and while Chaya is still a respectable 2nd, BTFL has totally changed my skate game. I was in love by the time I’d laced up my first boot.1) Comfort: if I’m not comfy on my skates, I’m screwed. These beauties are very pliable, and will eventually mold to my feet. They have padding where I tend to put the most pressure - until now I’ve been wearing my own ankle protectors, but no need with BTFL.2) Wheels: these were the tipping point for me ~ I’m going from street/derby style to artistic, and these are exactly what I needed to add some grace to my moves. They’re the perfect width I need for dance, and the rounded edges make transitions so much more intuitive.3: Heels: I don’t wear skates with heels. I’ve always had derby skates (they usually look like a skate shoe) - I think I thought they were more low key (plus I have fallen arches - heels HURT.)I take it all back. The little adjustment in balance helping all my turns and practice drills look 10x better. This whole brand is great at maintaining a retro feel with understated features that are essential to a quality skate. I have flat feet so I wear insoles, but I’m totally flabbergasted how much these heels in particular have helped my posture.4) Style: I’ve skated Chaya, Moxi, Bont, and Riddell, and these just win over everything I’ve worn so far. I didn’t realize how beautiful they were until I was already wearing them, but these are genuinely lovely skates. I’m so excited at the adjustable toe stop and the extra ankle support, and the laces are long enough to wrap around through the back loop if I want more stability.BTFL, 12/10. I can’t say enough. Whoever you are, if you’ve looked at these skates more than once, please trust me when I tell you these are IMBECCABLE.

These are beautiful, quality skates. They have a very smooth ride. They are lovely to look at and eye-catching, and seem well-designed. I trust German engineering, they generally have very high standards for safety and functionality. I don't know if this matters to anyone but the wheels feel thick and bouncy and rubbery to the touch which felt safe to me. The sizing didn't seem right for me though. Their website says to size up if you're in between sizes, but when you read blogs on the subject everyone says that roller skates should have your toes hitting right at the top of the shoe without space so that they act as an extension of your foot. These felt slightly too roomy on me, even with thick socks, and I think it did affect me feeling safe and secure. Since I am actually much closer to the size down, and given that they are a nice leather, I would think it more likely that the leather would stretch a little, so I'm returning them and getting the smaller pair. Heads up though, this is not an easy UPS store barcode return for U.S. customers, you do have to print a shipping label for it. If you don't have a printer, UPS will charge you $3 to print a label even though it's a "free return" through Amazon.Also to note, I must not have read the description carefully after looking at so many different products because I fell for the "Customers who bought these skates also bought this handy tool" Amazon up-sell, but it turns out, the only tool that you need to adjust the wheels and stopper is included in the box with these skates!

Ich habe mich aber für eine Nummer größer entschieden, damit ich keine Probleme mit der Breite bekomme. So konnte ich jetzt auch, die doch recht dünne Einlegesohlen gegen eine mit Memory- Schaum austauschen. In der Beschreibung findet sich zwar die Rollengröße, aber Härte war nicht oder je nach Farbe unterschiedlich angegeben. Die Rollen haben eine Härte von 80 A. Die Angaben von 85 A beziehen sich auf die bushings. Der Preis (zZ knapp 100€) ist für die Qualität und Ausstattung (wie verstellbare Stopper, bushings, Echtleder ...) unschlagbar, selbst wenn man das Tool und evtl noch flache Schnürsenkel dazu kaufen muss.

I bought those in a Covid lock down as could not go on ice .It's ended up one of my best decisions ever !Great skaters keep me happy and fit.Hope for many years ahead

Pas de frottements.Bien sur avant la première utilisation , bien régler les roues, le châssis et la hauteur des freins ...Les entretenir régulièrement au niveau des roulements.Je suis ravie de mon achat. !A recommander sans soucis 😃
