Get them While they last! This is a wonderful product
I have an above ground pond that I made out of a 100 gal horse tank. it's 2 1/2 feet deep so I needed something that would clean the bottom. I read the reviews and watched the videos. It is quiet and didn't bother the fish. they just schooled and moved off the one side and watched. No frantic swimming and darting. The bottom got cleaned and the filtered water went back into the tank. It is easy to use but I advise watching the 3 videos. Even though it shows that it comes with an instruction book..it doesn't. I would buy it again.

Failed almost immediately
I tried to use this in a tank with live soil. I will grant, that is lighter and more granular than gravel or rocks, so it tends to travel higher up the tube, but it rarely gets all the way up. I am able to clean this tank with no issue with a manual syphon, so I expected this would be a bit easier to use while I dealt with a bout of tennis elbow. It was a total waste of time and money. It worked maybe twice and died completely. It wouldn’t turn on past making an unhappy cranking noise. It barely had any real suction power when it did work. It’s not like it needs to do a lot for a water change. Get the water to fill the tube and let physics take over from there. It took longer for this to fill the tube than it took me either by my own lung power or by pumping a hand syphon.I can’t recommend this at all. It’s terrible.

The ABSOLUTE BEST AQUARIUM VACUUM!!
If you have an aquarium you must get one of these! It vacuums between the gravel and in every nook and cranny of your tank even stuff floating in the water… It has great suction and it uses electricity instead of stupid batteries that run out every few times you vacuum your fish tank… NO BUCKETS needed NO MESS and it’s super easy to clean… You pop out the middle plastic piece and run it underwater and pop it back in and you can continue vacuuming if you still need to… It is such a big help especially in between water changes. I like my tanks really clean and this vacuum does the job!

Great Concept, messy solution
Perhaps I am not using it right or need to watch a video of someone using this product. The tube that is used for draining from tank was all bent and flimsy, making it almost impossible to secure to a bucket or be able to suck water out as there were many bends in the plastic where water was trickling out. If you intend to use it as a cleanse for the sand be prepared to get your hand wet and possibly the floor, as the filter is above where your hand is to guide the vacuum. You can't use the filter to clean the sand and to drain or I would buy a better plastic tube for it. I have a 40 gallon salt water tank for reference.

Gets the job done
I'm writing a review of this tool in case someone else has the same issues. Suction is low, so it can be a little slow sometimes, but it gets the job done. Directions are a little confusing, so just note that there are two caps to the filter canister. One for just cleaning gravel and a second that is used with the hose for water extraction. The rest is pretty intuitive. First time I used it, it worked great. Second time I used it, the suction wasn't working. Checked the motor fan area and there were no clogs. Took me a while, but I finally realized that the issue was with a little bar in the middle of the hole where the water exits into the filter canister that was catching plant debris and getting clogged. Flushed the debis out of there and the motor fan area (bottom unscrews to expose motor fan) and suction returned without issue. If the suction seems bad, check both the water in AND water out holes. Overall, pretty good buy.

again - two person operation for use in an aquarium
length - depth in tank - not flexible enough. no screen on suction - stop every few seconds to shake sand/stones out - and focus on NOT sucking up fish. filtration is worthless. only somewhat decent to transfer water - but have a second set of hands to do it!

Love it
This little vacuum does a great job cleaning the tank. It's pretty long so you don't get as wet when cleaning out the tank. Definitely worth the price. Is kinda difficult to get the bottom and top piece off to clean the gunk catcher but if you get one off it's easy to just spray out the gunk.

No suction power and clogging
Unfortunately the suction on this gravel cleaner falls completely short. It won’t even pick up flake food on the bottom of the tank. Particles are slightly picked up but just hang in the plastic gravel cup. This was absolutely useless and a waste of money, time, and effort. The first time using it, I thought it was something I was doing wrong but thats just not the case. Personally I think it’s a bad design. The fan motor module is within the same path of the waste being sucked up. It was clogged within 20 seconds of using it.

Decent
Easy to use however motor runs really hot when trying to clean gravel. Decent suction power however hose location can be a little awkward to hold. Might be a decent idea to upgrade hose length for bigger tanks. Use on 4ft tank. For people buying from Australia be aware the plug is will NOT suit Australian power supply and will need to be changed or use an adaptor.
