The Essencell Mentrual Cramp relief natural heating pads are a life saver for those who have aches and pains during that time of the month. Aside from using it to ease my cramps, I've applied it to areas where I have muscle soreness to alleviate the tension and pain, such as lower back and shoulders. For me, this works better than Icy Hot ointment/patches.It does get pretty hot after the package is opened. I would recommend to NOT place directly on the skin, but rather on a thin layer of clothing over the areas that hurt or bother you the most. Once it's heated, it lasts about 8 hours. I've used these for an entire day without any issues and it retains the heat for a long time. If you place on your skin directly, it will cause redness and a mild burn.Highly recommended product for natural menstrual cramp relief and muscle soreness relief as well.

I used this for a chronic painful condition in the bladder, not for menstrual cramps. It is nice and hot and it is soothing. It did come off in the bathroom after undressing, but I was wearing biker shorts under a dress so I just tucked it back in and it was still nice and hot. I'm giving it four stars because it did come off and I can't always be wearing biker shorts, and also the price for three for a chronic condition is more than I can afford. Also I had a skin reaction because I think I have an allergy to medical adhesives.But for a monthly thing for someone without an allergy I would think these would be great.

These are great! They stayed warm for a long time. Perfect to throw in my work bag / purse and use discretely in an emergency.They aren't cost-effective for long-term use though... I'd hate to buy a pack each month. I also have some little round reusable cold / heat packs, which I heat in the microwave for 10 seconds. For around the house, I have an awesome heat belt that uses a USB power bank.These are nice to have, but probably not a permanent option if you need heat for cramps / stomach pain.

I suffer from chronic endometriosis, for which there is no cure, and the pain/cramping can be debilitating. So, to the best of my ability, alleviation of symptoms is the goal. These little bad boys really do help. They heat up within 2-3 minutes of application. And they're HOT. And they last for hours. My only suggested improvement would be to make them maybe just a teensy bit longer, but as-is, they're still very effective.

I absolutely love these! They are a lifesaver on the days I have to be out of the house (at work especially!) because they are discrete and very warm. I usually put a paper towel folded under the patch because it does get quite warm and I am concerned about burning myself. I haven't had any issue with the heat level and I have been using this product for almost 6 months. I highly recommend putting something (thicker than underwear) between your skin and this patch until you know your comfort level. It also stays warm for HOURS which is exactly what I need.

These get very hot, and fast! If you are sensitive to temperatures, you might want to keep them on the outside of thin pants like yoga pants or pajama bottoms.The only downside was that the heat did not last as long as I would have liked, but there are enough in a box to get you through the pain.

These aren’t as good as ThermaCare, mostly because of shape (these are rectangles, an oval that covers more of your lower abdomen would be better) and they are a little uncomfortable to peel off. However, they did do the trick as far as providing long-lasting heat, and are far better than my drugstore’s generic brand.

Heats up to a comfy temp. I just didn't like how the bead thingys all go to the bottom after some time.
