I have bought damascus rose water before and damascus rose oil - the two are not the same thing, so do check before buying.This rosewater is lovely, has that distinctive damascus rose full bodied rich and not too sickly sweet aroma.This rosewater says it has no other ingredients, and is organic.There are details in English and in German on the bottle.It can be used for flavouring foods, or cocktails, cosmetics, or directly on the skin.It is fairy strong so would think you might want to dilute it a little before spraying on the sking but that comes down to personal tastes.I have tried it on my skin, which is stupidly sensitive, and no reactions.I made some rosewater and peach biscuits with it and used it neat in the base mix, and the cookies came out with a delicate hint of rosewater.It is not like the traditional rosewater you would buy from a cooks shop, there is no glycerine or sugar, just neat rosewater so a little will go a long way, you might need to adjust your recipes if you have been using the usual diluted rosewater, use less, add sugar or glycerine depending on your need.I personally believe damascus roses, their rosewater and oil, are a special luxurious treat, so will probably use it more for cosmetics, next up for me to try is to make a rosewater and glycerine facial cleanser...The bottle is plastic with built in black spray top, there is, I believe, a pretty design on the front, however mine came with an ugly packaging/stock sticker stuck to it, which I hope is just because I am trying it, as it would be a shame if they all came with this, I would not give it as a gift if it came with that plastered across the front.Otherwise I would say it is good value for money, and as far as I can tell from my personal experience with damascus rose water, and without doing some nerdy indepth chemical analysis, I think it is exactly what is says it is and at a good price .

Initially, I was put off this product for two reasons. First, the spray bottle itself is pretty unattractive, the design of the label makes it seem cheaper than it actually is. Second, I was put off by the fact you could use this on food but also as a skincare product. I appreciate that lots of foodstuffs can be used as effective toiletries: avocado face masks, cucumber eye coolers, that sort of thing, but it just seemed weird for a product marketed primarily as food also to have a recommendation to use it on your face!However, I tried both: as a food spray it is very delicate, the spray is very fine. I have used it to mist on desserts: ice cream, cake, that sort of thing. The spray does not make the food soggy as the spray is pretty fine, but it does impart a subtle flavour. I also used it on a cake fresh out of the oven and still warm. It was a lemon and pistachio cake so I used a fairly generous amount of spray on the cake when it was still just out of the hot oven, and that worked especially well, it gave the cake a Middle Eastern spin with the rose and pistachio and stopped the cake from drying out as it cooled.On my skin I have found this spray to be equally effective. I use it in the morning after cleansing and moisturising, and again at night before I go to bed. My skin feels immediately better: the subtle scent of rose is really appealing, especially at nighttime. My skin feels a little more moisturised, softer, fresher. I don't think my skin looks any different but it really gives me a mental boost.Overall this is a great spray with varied usages, just don't be put off by the graphic design and the slight cheapness of the plastic!

Unfortunately my bottle arrived with the lid separated from the bottle. Initially I thought there WAS no lid, but then discovered it was rolling around loosely. All because the glued paper seal was incomplete. The bottle label itself also showed some signs of being somewhat worn, as if it had been lying around for a while, although the best before date (November 2022) should mean it isn't elderly stock. I don't have a problem with the rose water itself, but I shan't be changing the supplier i normally.use for this.It is of course possible that the damage fault lies at Amazon's door rather than Senes' .What definitely IS within Amazon's remit, however, is the bad product listing, so that completely different products, saffron, dried lavender, lavender floral water, dried rosebuds, rosewater, are all lumped together as if they are the same thing, whereas they are 5 unique items.Maybe it was Senes' choice, perhaps separate product page listings cost more. If this latter, even more reason why I wouldn't buy this brand. A supplier should recognise and uniquely promote each product and not lump everything together like this.

This rose flavoured spray really smells like roses.I use it on cupcakes to give that refined smell and taste.The bottle is also conveniently small and can double as an emergency perfume for cars and small rooms.
