The Rising of the Shield Hero Volume 18

I don't know what to think exactly to much to take in at the end but if any wait for the next one. On th next episode Dragon ball Z will Naofumi become a God ? Hahahahahaha

This was a more slice of life type installment, but it still moved the story forward. I love learning things with the characters that's don't come from expo-dumpa, and this series does a good job of avoiding that for the most part. Naofumi has a habit of bringing people over to his side, even if he isn't trying to and we get more of that this go round. I love seeing the different types of people he attracts and his interactions with others is always gold.With this Volume, we get to learn a bit more about the Waves and those behind it. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes next.

This volume was packed with action, character, and plot development. The shield hero has a new companion that used to be an enemy. There are new enemies that will cause more headaches even as the shield hero and his companions get answers to the questions that they have had.

The Rising of the Shield/Mirror Hero. After all the chaos of the previous novels, this particular volume is written more of a filler, and a welcomed one.If you read the previous volumes and enjoyed the scenes where Naofumi cooks for others, then this is the book for you.Aside from Naomi’s companions praising his cooking, the bad guys shown in this book were basically “copy & paste” villains from the previous novels. So some chapters were pretty dry.Something else to look forward to is the discussion of what the waves are and who may be pulling the strings.One thing I know I would love to see is the cooking battle turn into an anime.

This volume is full with action that I lost track on how long they've been staying in Kizuna's world....but at least they are making a bit of progress regarding on understanding the Waves.. In addition I really liked how this volume have further explored Naofumi's culinary knowledge...they even have a shokugeki version... hehehe.. Anyway, looking forward for the next volume!!

***SPOILER***pretty sure he stole soma from food wars. Like I get a reference can be appreciated but a walmart version didn't sit right with me. And the fact he made soma lose.

As always the author keep a good history and pace. Each book goes for a bigger plot that connects the first book to this one! It's just incredible

The book was slow in the beginning but it stated to pick up putty quality. I also like the cooking battle it gave it breath of fresh air.

good continuation of the story.

Jeder der bereit ist für ein Shokugeki, wird seine Freunde mit diesem Band haben. Alle die die anderen gelesen haben genauso, die Geschichte wird in der anderen Welt packend fortgeführt. Der Abschluss ist wieder sehr unerwartet und klärt ein interessantes Kernelement der immer wieder auftauchenden Vorhut.

after 17 book in the series I still found the story intresting. This book took an unusual turn of events, sure it was different. I still liked it and find entertaining. Not the best in the series, but sure maintain the good elements that are the base of this novels.
