5 year old loves it
I personally find the countenance of the Cuddleuppets Unicorn disturbing--those big freaky sad eyes above the giant pig-like snout. However, my daughter asked for it for Christmas, and she truly loves it. It fits right in with her Unicorn Dreamlight and Stompeez. The marketers and makers of the commercials for these products must be geniuses when it comes to the psyche of a five year old!The blanket part is pretty small. It wraps a big around my daughter, but it's not as long as she is tall, so I think the appeal is more the snuggling with the animal head rather than it's use as a cozy blanket.The head is actually a puppet. Although my younger daughter is not able to get her hand into it and operate the mouth, my 12 year old did. I think it's value as a puppet may be limited to use by an older playmate.Edited 12/26/12After writing the review, I was cleaning up with my daughter and found one of the seams inside the puppet's head is already completely unattached. What a piece of junk. She just got it yesterday & hasn't even really played wih it. The reason I'm only lowering to 2 stars instead of 1 is because my daughter loves it so much.

It's a blanket; it's a puppet; it's a cuddleuppet!
My 6 year old is infatuated with "Uni" her unicorn cuddleuppet. The blanket is actually very soft and plush and is large enough to cover most of her body. Each corner of the blanket is a "foot" of the unicorn and the unicorn's head is at the top, center. My daughter sleeps with this cuddleuppet and takes it with her in the car and where ever she goes.My daughter had no idea there was a unicorn version of the cuddleuppet and had been hoping for the pink poodle for Christmas. She was so surprised to get a unicorn and even though she didn't get the kind she was asking for, hasn't been a downer for her at all. Of ALL her Christmas presents this year, the Cuddleuppet has been her absolute favorite - hands down - no questions asked!I'm so impressed with the quality of this "as seen on TV" toy that I'd be willing to purchase additional styles or get these as gifts for other kids. This is also a great complement to Pillow Pets!

I was wrong...
OK, I will admit that I was skeptical. I mean, how good can a product advertised on Saturday morning cartoons be? I will also admit I was wrong. This is much better than I expected. The blanket is much larger than I thought it would be, and much better fabric than I feared. The construction is actually very good, and I expect this toy to last a LONG time.Fortunately, they also seem to have changed the sad/creepy/sleepy eyes that everyone dispised. We bought three -- a ladybug, this unicorn, and a dog, and not a single under-eye bag in sight.My daughter couldn't be happier, and that makes me happy!

First one arrived with a hole it in. Material is very thin and it is very cheaply made.
I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas and thank goodness I opened it to put in a box because it had a hole in the back. I honestly would of returned for a refund but my granddaughter had asked for it for Christmas. Amazon was wonderful and shipped a new one out overnight so it was here for Christmas. I believe the only appeal is the commercial and my granddaughter has not played with it since Christmas. I can not say enough how cheaply made this product it.

Got here miraculously before Christmas
Fastest shipping known to man - ordered this two days before Christmas after searching in vain in local stores - prepared child for disappointment, as I was certain it could never arrive in time for Christmas. It got here Christmas eve, and she was delighted to find it wrapped under the tree on Christmas morning. Wonderful product, so very soft and warm. Child is in love an still sleeps with it every night.

My six-year-old loves it!
I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely adores it. One of the nice features is the puppet's head is large enough for an adult hand to manipulate, but easy enough that little Hands can operate the puppet as well. It appears to be well made and hopefully very durable, but only time will tell. On balance this seems to be a very fair price for a much loved Christmas gift.

Perfect for cuddling!
Great quality stuffed animal blanket! My child uses this product as a blanket and as a stuffed animal pet. It is on the thin side, but this is just a supplemental blanket so it works perfectly and would recommend.

Those sneaky Ad Execs who put these toy commercials on in between Bubble Guppies and Team Umizoomi sure get my daughters' attention. This item was a must have last Christmas. It's used more as a made bed throw over than a cuddling blanket, but my kids want it around, so I'm happy with the purchase overall.
