Kaylor of Colorado's bird food mixes are specifically vitamin enriched, extremely clean, and encompass a wide variety high quality, natural ingredients from around the world. Before allowing any ingredient into the plant, it is inspected thoroughly for cleanliness and freshness. The mixing of their blends take place in their state of the art Horizontal Ribbon Mixer that blends any combination of ingredients evenly. The mixture is then air washed and triple cleaned, leaving them virtually free of all dust and chaff. The vitamins and minerals are then added and bond to the entire blend.

Not a Happy Camper!
When you take this package out of the box, you're in for an immediate surprise. The plastic package is just a little more than half full. Now we pet owners are used to this with dry dog and cat food (though even with those it is not quite so extreme), but I've never seen bird food so sparsely packed. Maybe there's some reason for this. And maybe it's just plain business as usual. Whatever, I was not pleased. So after filling up one dishful, you feel there isn't much left. How about the quality? The peanuts seem fresh and are okay; my bird is a parrotlet (Senegal) so he will not be able to crack open the larger nut shells (I cut the pumpkin sees in half - we'll see how that goes), I do see raisins, but the other fruit listed (i.e., papaya dices, apples) must be diced very small because I do not see them at all. I do not even see any almonds. Perhaps I will spy these ingredients at a second serving, who knows.Another displeasure I want to note is that the dried fruit (carrot, I believe, though it looks like sun-dried tomato, not listed in the ingredients) seems very old, dark (rather than fresh) in color, and tough to cut.Perhaps this is better food than most, but I'm going to search on for higher quality because I love my parrot and he deserves the best.
