I love getting the feel of the first editions through the fonts, formatting and original illustrations that SeaWolf uses. No other reprints do this for so low a price. This is seriously the only version anyone should ever buy!

The Kindle version of this book appears to be a translation from some foreign language. On the book's first page (which is available at the top of Amazon's product page) we should have:"I suppose, Watson, we must look upon you as a man of letters," said he. "How do you define the word 'grotesque'?""Strange—remarkable," I suggested.But the Kindle version has:“I assume, Watson, we must look upon you as a person of letters,” said he. “How do you define the word ‘grotesque’?”“Strange—extremely good,” I counseled.There are multiple other little changes to the text like this. I don't understand how this happened since Sherlock Holmes is in the public domain and all the publisher would have to do is copy the text.A different version of the book at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DJ2G589/ref=ku_mi_rw_edp_ku appears to be correct.

This is a lovely large print edition complete and unabridged. A collection of short stories of Sherlock Holmes by Sir.Arthur.Conan Doyle. These stories STILL remain fresh and exciting to read. These stories show the original Holmes and Watson . The original and the best , and unsurpassed.

The transcription is, for some reason, seriously in error (e.g. "latrine" instead of the original "toilet" - I checked). I don't know what goes wrong with these Kindle files, but something is going very wrong.
