Maybe you will have better luck.
So here it is, this would be a 5 STAR rating for me but, I bought these in May for a trip to Alaska at the end of August. I wore them a few times around the house to make sure that they were comfortable and no problems with rubbing or support problems. I take them on the cruise and on excursion days they performed flawlessly, one of the best hikers I have ever tried. Only saw one day of rain, kept my feet totally dry all day and let them dry over night completely before I wore them again. Now here is the crux, they day of my return they have separated at the stitching of the top and side leather below the grommet for the laces. Past my time for a return and can't see on how to exchange for a new pair. I think that these are excellent, I just got a bad pair. So Amazon if you can help, I would really appreciate it. If not, then buyer beware.

The Most Comfortable Shoes I Have Ever Owned
Two-year update : I have abused the heck out of these boots for two solid years, and though they are showing a lot of wear, they are still very comfortable, and support my feet while I'm putting long days as a tradesman. I still wear insoles, and am on my second pair of laces. fabulous value.Original review: I bought these nearly a year ago. I read the reviews and paid close attention to the sizing issues many people seemed to have had. I normally wear a size 15EEE, so I ordered 16EEEE. Yes, quadruple E. They fit me just a tiny bit big, which was fine, as I fill the space with heavy hiking socks and Dr. Scholl's 440 orthotics. I am 6'7", 350, very active, and I ruin shoes. NB crosstrainers don't hold up, nor do Nikes or anything else I've tried. I got these to wear for some serious urban hiking in Washington D.C. I took them on a two mile break-in walk before my trip. The break-in was completely unnecessary. These boots felt dreamy. My feet are normally killing me after the shortest of walks. I easily walked 5 miles a day for three days across ice, concrete, and snow. My feet stayed warm, and I experienced none of the usual leg, foot, ankle fatigue that usually plagues me. I since have taken them on many trail hikes in Southern California with great results. I also use them for lots of street hiking, have tromped through snow, spent hours on ladders. I went on a few backpack training hikes with 50lb packs (that's 400lbs on those shoes), and always felt stable and comfortable I did not do any serious mountaineering, nor off-trail talus-slope slogging or anything crazy like that. If you have wide feet and are looking for a lightweight, comfortable trail boot, you might give these a try. I'm an experienced hiker, and have had Kastinger, Vasque, Ecco, REI, and a half dozen other boots. None have been close to this comfortable, even if they had a higher technical pedigree. If I were younger and in shape, I'd take these off trail. The only visible wear has been one broken lace. I will definitely buy another pair and rotate them to prolong their life.I wish they made a low-cut version of these, because I would truly never ever take them off.

Not as good as they used to be.
If I wrote a review for these a few years ago, I would be raving about the quality and fit of these shoes. I wear a size 15 wide, and was growing tired of wearing extremely heavy work boots each day. I have been wearing these shoes since around the end of 2009. It was instant satisfaction wearing these to work each day. They are light, they have good grip, and the lining is comfortable. Each year I buy a new pair around the holidays. I put some serious mileage on my shoes at work. However, my last 2 pairs have not even made it to the 6 month mark before falling apart. I believe they have changed the way they make these shows. In September of 2014 I bought a pair and the stitching tore apart at the sides, and the toe-guard fell off of the right shoe. I decided that perhaps i bought a bad pair. I ordered another pair and just after 3 months of wearing, the same exact problem. The stitching at the sides of the boots has completely come apart making the shoes unwearable. If you saw my shoes you would think they were several years old. Unfortunately the quality has gone down on this product and I will never buy another pair again. It's ashame, because anyone with big feet knows how hard it is to find a comfortable and reliable shoe.

Tested in the Rockys...
I wore these for about six miles as a "break in" period leading up to a 20+ mile backpacking trek in Rocky Mtn Nat Park in late June. So, a total of up to 32 miles/3 days including the walking after the trek. The trail portion totaled about 24 miles on up and down (quite steep in places, including Flattop Mt) rocky, muddy and snowy trails as well as a good Rocky Mt rain for several hours.First off, they're comfortable at first but seem to lose support/cushioning after only several hours. They are also NOT completely waterproof. After the first exposure to rain my feet were rendered "damp". After the rainy afternoon, they were down right wet. As shown in the one pic (so why bother taking one and boots are still in Colorado at friends place anyway) they split at the seem at almost the exact same area of the toe as in the pic.Very disappointed, ESPECIALLY for the price. Going back to Merrell.

They seem expensive but are Good value for mone
Dunham boots are great for people with feet and high insteps. They’re not easy to find so it’s great to have them available online

Great quality shoe. Designed well and unbelievable light
The quality of this shoe is on par or better than most of the major hiking shoe brands on the shelf. I can see why other reviewers say this shoe has lasted a long time - it makes a big difference if the shoe fits properly and is comfortable. Given the comfort and weight of this shoe, it's probably my favorite for most kinds of trekking.

Shoe is unwearable with inner pressure from the metal eyelets
Still trying to break them in so to say and the fit is ok although they feel a bit shorter than most of the same size i order but they hurt my foot to the point of injury.1 star because the metallic eyelet digs in my foot so badly from the kink when i step that makes the shoe unwearable. It just hurts too much for me to keep wearing them. What a disappointment as i waited 2 weeks, paid a lot and expected way better quality for the price. Now i can't return them.
