With repetitive sounds and words that rhythmically roll right through the pages, this story puts the zing back into storytelling and reading aloud. Bright, zesty pictures and dynamic visual text echo the lilt, making it one big book of fun. Read more

Highly recommended
So this book got introduced to us through an activity centre that I send my 2-year old to. My lil one loves the book - so I decided to get it. I was anyways looking for Indian authors. ANd I am not disappointed - its a nice book with cute illustrations that have an Indian context. While my 2-year old doesnt really understand most of the book - and enjoys the 'achooo' action more than anything - I am sure older kids - about 2.5-3 year olds will love this more. The story is simple and funny.

Good book by an Indian author
I somehow found the ending to be abrupt where everyone falls sick, and my toddler likes to skip the last part as well. But the initial story build up is good. Thanks to this book, every time someone sneezes, my son says "Aachuuu"! Good to have in your library and not too expensive as well!

Great book
This is a great book. I have probably read this book to my 2 year old daughter a 100 times. She laughs aloud to the various sneezing noises that repeat throughout the book. This is a wonderful book to introduce the English language to toddlers. She knows most of the sentences by heart, though I leave out some paragraphs and modify some sentences when reading the book to cater to her short attention span. It would have been good if there was board book version.

Excited to read this to our 14 month old daughter. The characters in this Indian setting children's book are a joy to read about. I am so excited to buy every book published by Tulika Publishers. Such rich text. So relatable.

My 2 year old loves these books.
A delight, as always. Gajapati Kulapati is one of the few Indian children's books that really get the concept of "writing for young children" right.

Love Tulika books
Well written Indian tale. I love the repetition of the elephant's name, helps the child to learn sounds of the words.

Fun to read aloud with the kids
Fun book to read especially if you make all the loud noises written in the images. Language and flow of the story could have been better.
