Music From The TV Show
If You Watched Season One of Queer As Folk and liked some of the music from the show, then there is a good chance that you might like the music to the Queer As Folk cd featuring various artists. I admit that back in 2014 I purchased season one of this show at first thinking I would get a variation of the Mad Men tv show, yet I still ended up enjoying the season one dvd set and this Queer as Folk Season one cd despite both the tv show and the music being different from what I initially expected. The songs on this cd have a mixed blend of club, house, and disco music on multiple songs and unique songs that I would not have heard had it not been for the discovery of this cd (such as the song Straight to Number One (DreamCatcher’s Mix by Touch & Go).

A shining jem in my CD collection!
What can I say about this soundtrack that hasn't been said already!?! If you are looking for upbeat, heart-thumpin music, this soundtrack is the one to have! It's a brilliant blend of techno, trip-hop and even some introspective numbers like the shoe-in-for-Grammy-nomination "Proud," the sexy and sultry "Straight to Number One," and the melancholic sad fest whoa-is-me number "Suffering," all giving this repertoire of diverse talent a meaningful even keel. My favorite dance songs here are "High School Confidential," "Summerfire," "Let's here it for the boy," "Shake me," and THE ULTRA HOT (So fitting since I live in Guam) number I listen to every morning when I run is "Start Rockin," my absolute favorite on the CD! I know so many people who are so proud of this series and are thankful to the people who have put such a great effort in keeping a show like this on the airwaves, it's definitely something to be watched! For those who have not seen this show yet, pick up a copy of this CD, read the liner notes on the inside and find a friend who gets this series weekly. (The first season will air again starting July 1st) I started watching from the beginning and I am officially hooked! With each episode that is shown, it's like I get my weekly Sunday dinner. With this CD, it's a luscious dessert to be enjoyed afterwards and all through the week! I can't wait for the DVD set of the series this fall!

CD was scratched
I love Queer as Folk and wanted all the soundtracks so I decided to purchase my first soundtrack. When I ordered it, it said USED-VERY GOOD condition. I received it and the CD was scratched all over. It glitched in my car radio. It seems to be okay in my computer but after 3 or so songs it will glitch and I will have to clean it. The description is not what it said. It was not very good condition. However, the songs are perfect and the CD is amazing if you get a non scratched version. lol

Great Compilation!
My partner really loves the Queer As Folk series, and loves the soundtrack just as much! The only gripe he had about it was that it does not contain all the songs from the first season, but does have most!

Only Liked 4 Songs
This cd was another disappointment. I'm just not a fan of this type of music. I did find 4 songs on this one that I honestly did like, which were: "You Think You're A Man", "Let's Hear It For the Boy", "Hide U", and "Everyday". The rest I could do without. I gave it 3 stars because of the four songs I did like.
