Versatile essential for a well stocked kitchen!
This is a workhorse of a frother! When I first received it, I thought it looked and felt cheaply made. The black plastic felt cheaper than most toys you would find at the dollar store. However, do not let the weight or materials of this frother dissuade you from purchasing it. The frother is a powerhouse and can work for a long time! It easily blends and froths milks, powders etc. I use it to mix powdered chocolates into milks, blend matcha for tea, froth for my cappuccinos, cornstarch into water, even for mixing powdered mixes for gravy and such! This is an essential in a well stocked kitchen. It don't take ,cut space and uses AA batteries. The batteries take a very long time to die too, as I have yet to replace them!

An effective frother for making Latte if you are not a barista purist.
This is a cheap, functional and effective tool for frothing milk for making Latte.I use a Gaggia Classic expresso machine which does have an attached steam wandfor frothing milk, but its easier to use this IKEA electric (battery) device (a kind ofwhipper, and easier to keep clean) rather than using the steam wand. The IKEA frotheris a cheap alternative to the similar but fancier and more expensive Aerolattefrother. These devices wear out after a few years of daily use, and need replacing fromtime to time The cheap IKEA one is a good choice.A real barista would probably frown at using this "shortcut" to milk froth for Latte, but I like using it.

Broke after just a few months
This little blender worked great the first few months I had it, but after it was in storage for the summer due to moving, it didn't work again. I got it out after settling into my new place and was never able to get it to work again, even after cleaning it up and inserting new batteries. The battery door eventually fell off after trying to insert different batteries so many times. At least it was cheap, but still not worth any amount of money. You definitely get what you pay for with this, I guess.

Can't beat it for the price
I don't live near an IKEA but kept seeing folks recommend this frother, so decided to give it a try. It works reasonably well at frothing milk, no complaints about its functionality. It starts to feel weak if you're frothing more than about 6oz of milk, but it seems to perform fine if you froth larger amounts for a longer time. The on/off switch feels loose, and it's very difficult to insert batteries due to the hinge on the battery case. I'm happy to use this one as long as it continues to work, but I'm already considering replacing it with a different brand at some point strictly due to the awful battery case.

A must for any kitchen!
The product came nicely packaged. It was wrapped to ensure the metal coil wouldn’t get damaged during the transit. It does not come with batteries so I put in 2 double AA batteries. Very easy to do. Turned it on, frothed some milk, and made a hot chai latte in 30 seconds!! This little guy is powerful!!!Best investment I’ve ever made. The milk frother is also easy to clean. Just rinse under water and you’re done! So simple, quick, and easy. And it’s durable and the metal has not bent on me yet.

Too delicate for me. Simple design: In order for it to turn, the thin metal rod goes through a hidden rubber gasket in the opening into a tiny hole in the case that holds the batteries (Case is tight and batteries are aggravating to insert). The metal rod has to be exactly straight and tightly in the hole in the center or it won't make contact. Because of the rubber gasket, the opening has plenty of room for the rod to move around and come out of the hole In fact, when it came out of the package it was loose in the opening and crooked. Then the rubber gasket became crooked and blocked the tiny hole so away it went. When it worked, it worked well (thus the three stars) but too temperamental..

It works great and is inexpensive doesn't get much better than that
Love Love it so inexpensive and works great my sister had one, that she made me a latte with I was so impressed I bought one at the same time my sister gave me one as a gift, so I gave mine to my daughter she loves it. Went to visit my son took mine with me for my morning coffee. My daughter in law and son were impressed with how it worked and cleaned compared to there expensive one, I just froth and hold under running water to wash. Needless to say I had Amazon send one to my son and his wife so I am a real return customer on this one

Works just fine for light stirring/whipping.
I've had it for a little while now, still working fine. It's not exceptionally well made, but for the price there is nothing wrong with it. I just got it to help blend a little butter into my hot chocolate and for that and making chocolate milk it works perfectly. You can't use this to mix anything heavy, but great for straight liquids. You will need a couple AA batteries. It arrived on time,I will say it was cheaply packaged, just in a large amazon envelope with no box and could have easily been damaged in transit, though mine arrived in good order with no problems.
