Cartell CP-4 Smart Driveway Free Exit Wand Sensor System with 100' Foot Cable for Gate Openers

We have a long driveway with double gates, and the original exit sensor has been problematic for years, frequently trapping drivers in while they would drive back and forth to trigger the gate. We replaced it with this sensor, and the improvement was beyond expectations. The length of the wire allowed us to position the sensor farther from the gate and the sensor is far more sensitive even on the 'out of the box' setting. Since installing this exit sensor, we have not had a single issue with exiting vehicles and no false openings. Was easy to install, just needed to confirm the settings for default position for either closed or open position. Highly recommend.

Tried 2 cheaper ones that quit working after 2 weeks. This unit has been great and detects every vehicle. More expensive than other units but worth the price.

Quick delivery. Worked as expected. ...This is actually the second Cartell CP-4 purchased. The first one lasted until just after the 5 year warranty expired. So they are likely only good for 5 years.

I can’t say enough great things about this product. I was thrilled with it from the moment I installed it. Rented a trencher and had it installed within a few hours according to the detailed instructions included. This is a three-year review. This has worked flawlessly ever since installation. Looking forward to many years of continued use. Also, the customer support is awesome. No I didn’t need them, but I did reach out to them shortly after purchase and told them how grateful I was for their team producing such a quality product. They were very receptive and excited to hear my feedback. I think of them often as I exit my driveway.

First one died after about 2 years, signs of water damage when I took it out of my driveway, even though it's sealed and designed to go in the ground. Because of the price difference vs Liftmaster, I replaced it with the same Cartell CP-4. The new one just died after about the same amount of time, two years. Haven't torn up my driveway yet to find out why, but I'm guessing it'll be a similar story. I didn't learn my lesson the first time, but I'll spend the money on a better quality product this time. Avoid unless you're planning on moving within two years, or if you're an installer, in which case buy one for your customer so they can pay you to come back every two years and replace it. If you're a homeowner, buy something else.

Works just great to open gates automatically, detects vehicles correctly, easy install. Better than other brands in the market. Compatible with LiftMaster Control Boards.

I bought this driveway opener to replace the one I had before. I have a lot of rock in my soil so I had to run the cable above ground to the gate controller. I accidentally cut the previous cable with my mower and bought this to replace it. This was identical to the other, and both have worked well for several years, unless of course you cut the wires! The one I cut worked fine after I rewired it to the gate (shorter distance), but it wasn't far enough away to start the gate opening like I wanted. I'll just have to move the cable away from where I might mow.
