Not what I hoped for
I had a similar product years ago, I believe it was a Buttonear, that worked okay but I thought I would try this product. First off, the instructions are poorly written and illustrated. Luckily I was able to figure it out based on my previous product. The product would only work on very thin buttons and fabric. If I attempted to use it on anything thicker, the plastic tie wouldn’t penetrate. The plastic ties are way more flimsy than the ones I used in the past, they break easily.

not useful at all
The plastic barbs protrude from the button, making a very loose attachment and a very sloppy appearance.

Worst thing since mint ice cream...AND I HATE MINT ICE CREAM
This was probably the most useless tool I've ever bought from Amazon. The tool attempts to push a plastic pin through your material (shirt, blouse, small mammal) and through a button, and the pin unfolds at an angle to hold the button and the material together. AFTER ABOUT 785 pins, six holes in my thumb, and screaming MOMMY for an hour, I finally attached TWO buttons. Useless, totally useless.

Seems better than Singer but only a little bit better
Nice except it only comes with one kind of plastic tie (unlike the "other" one available on Amazon (Singer) with a variety for more flexibility), and the ties "stick" in the chamber so you may waste one or two every time you switch colors (black and "clear"). It seems to pierce fabric a little better than the Singer model, but if so only a little and it may just be that there's more to hold on to with a larger trigger. It will take the Singer ties in case you have some left over.

Works great
Great for a repair especially when you don't have a needle and thread handy. Hubby used a button attacher similar to this when he was in the Navy. Since then he has looked for a replacement. I purchased this model based on the reviews. This model is easy to use however they don't include very detailed instructions with the unit. I watched a video on YouTube to see how to insert the nylon Attache. It's easy to use once you view the video.

Don’t waste your money
Item broke before I got the button on! Handle got stuck & since you can not pull it back out a lightly smack on a table will release it.. The tiny screw that holds the needle in place broke when I touched it, needle fell out and could not get it back in, so in the garbage it went. Disappointed, doubt I can get a refund.

NOT A GOOD PRODUCT!
Actually, I need to return. The 1st one I purchased worked for awhile. Then the needle would shoot out and finally bent. But it did do a nice job probably on the 1st 50 fasteners. I threw this one in the trash! I am making seven curtain valances with pleats, so I really was excited to get this item. I then ordered a 2nd one hoping that it would work and I could get all the pleats finished. It has broken every fastener that I tried to do! Can not tell you how disappointed I am in this product!

not very good
I would not call this a button attacher. More like a tag attacher. This is not holding anything but a flimsy tag on fabric. button was loose and floppy. One tug and it's coming off. Sadly, there does not seem to be anything on the market remotely capable of securing a button. Maybe I should design one and get rich. I would have paid 3xs as much for the real deal.Worst part is I suck at sewing so I still need a solution.

Not bad for a quick fix
I bought this item because I cannot sew for toffee and needed a quick and simple solution after some initial difficulty with how to load the machine with the fasteners I have used it quite a few times. Although not as good as sewing it does a quick. And semi permanent job, not very esthetically pleasing but it does the job

Don't waste your money!
Hopeless! This isn't a button fixer it is only suitable for fastening labels and tags to clothing. Any buttons I tried to fix were loose and the the fasteners were sharp and scratchy against your skin.

Saves stitching
I used to have the original buttoneer which is no longer available. This is a fair substitute and although seems to work well does not seem as strong as the old system.

Absolutely awful product
Do not bother with this. Would not attach a button to a sheet of paper let alone to a piece of material. Instructions are vague to say the least. You have been warned.
