my review for buck decoy
Well i dont wana say its not bad or great either.it really depends on the application it will be used.i purchased it not having much info to go on.let me help out on giving a real review dang...its a flat sheat decoy, not a full body but flat.color is mostly a grey tint.what is good ab it is the decoy is basicly a life size picture of a buck made out of plastic that is not heavy and should hold up a few seasons easy. the closer you get the worse the outline gets tho.pic is ok but the shaping in some areas arent that great and kinda look cartoonish.for use when rifle hunting, knowing or being able to predict deer movement from a particular direction, other words im saying if they get close enough before they spook ya best be able to take down a deer from a ways off.i bow hunt and im not gona use it.id have to touch up color with my airbrush and trim more but then i will still have a thin sheet of plastic that is a pic of a deer.im just gona use it for target practice, dialing my scopes etc. have a 6yr old that this will be good for with practice.i have looked and looked for a cheap realistic decoy to experiment with.i really dont need 1 i just wana see the deer's reactions and get a kick out of it.i also bought a doe decoy too when i purchased this 1.mistake aswell but alittle better in some ways worse in other ways.just seek my review on other doe decoys.if you want a real life like decoy you will have to pay 100bks or more.flambeau has a good doe decoy but expensive and it has issues aswell.here in sc i dont need a decoy where i hunt but if you rifle hunt wide open land and fields it wont hurt to have a few of these out,not the best tho either.

great decoy
Nice picture and I have had a lot of fun watching the deer react to it. Have taken 5 deer as of today.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM OR YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!
Very disappointed in this! It looks nothing like the picture and it's basically plastic cardboard. We did not get the canister, scent wicks, or stakes with our decoy either. I would not purchase this item.

An honest review, no bull.
When I received the decoy, I was pretty disappointed in the antlers- they looked completely fake and way too big to use for hunting Coues deer. I very carefully cut them off and made it a doe decoy. It looks real enough. It really has a chemical smell to it when it is new, so you need to leave it outside and even give it a "dirt bath" a few times to knock that plastic/paint smell down. Assembly is easy and sturdy enough when deployed in mild winds. I like the tail, it moves around when a breeze hits it and makes the decoy a little more lifelike. As for pulling in deer from long distances- nope. Not gonna happen with this decoy. I'd recomend setting it in the shade as well be cause the sun really lights it up. I set it up around a natural spring and sat about 10yds away. I had deer come to the spring to drink almost every day and their attention was always on the decoy. The deer were not alarmed, none of them spooked at the decoy and they just stopped and looked at it for a while then went on about their business. To me, that's a good decoy. It did exactly what I wanted (even though I never got a big buck to come by). I will continue to use it where I need something to distract (but not spook) the deer. Overall, it has some negatives- but a little modification and some ConQuest EverCalm make this decoy an effective tool for the bowhunter.
