I love Tuffy toys, but....
It didn't take our Vizsla and Great Dane long at all to eat the ears and nose off of this bear. Thankfully the nose is its own part, so there is another "dam" that holds the stuffing in the bear. Unfortunately, that dam isn't very strong, and I noticed within two days of having it that the seams around the legs (where they connect to the bear) already had holes and were separating. Again - we buy all different kinds of Tuffy toys, and I love most of them....I just wouldn't get this again. Go for the squid or the orange aliens - they last a lot longer. :-)

This is my 100+lb Rhodesian Ridgeback girl's all time Favorite
We got this for her when she came home as a pup, the smaller one. She is 2 now and I got her the big one for Christmas. I would say it holds up to power chewers! She finally did in the smaller one after over a year. We'll see how long this one lasts. So far, so great! I love how careful the company is with securing the squeakers inside, otherwise I might have been too concerned to get these. They don't squeak often, but I think she likes it even more for the challenge.

Great for a normal chewer
It much stretch as there isn’t meant to be. To the average dog, this product would be amazing. To my insane Aussie doodle who is a compulsive stuffed toy destroyer...he had a hole in it in under 20 minutes. I would completely recommend this product for a normal dog, but not for an insane chewer. I thought maybe it was just the bear but he had the legs ripped of the squid in 30 minutes.

my dog seems scared of it
My 12lbs dog has a bear this shape he loves (loves to hump, play tug, tear apart and sleep with) It has been repaired so many times it cant be sewed up any more and I was looking for a similar shaped but tougher toy the same size. This fits the bill exactly -- but, perhaps because it is not plush or soft (it is really quite stiff, with beady looking eyes) he is not interested, indeed he won't go near it! it is extremely well made and I can see it would be durable for a dog who wanted only to chew his toy -- just not for one who is also looking for a snuggle companion. We are going to give it away to a younger and more chewing -oriented friend....

Lasted 5 Minutes
I’ve purchased toys from Tuffy in the past and they’ve been great - lasted for weeks to months even. Unfortunately for this toy it didn’t withstand 5 minutes. I would love to order from Tuffy again - but I’m not sure I can leave my dog unsupervised with the toy with the possibility of him choking.

If you have a dog that likes to chew, this is not the toy for you
We were very excited when the Tuffy arrived! The bear looked extremely sturdy and well made. When we gave it to him, he loved it. I turned my back for a few minutes and couldn’t believe that he was able to chew right through its leg. I know it’s not a chew toy. I thought it would have lasted longer than a couple hours. Being that he isn’t a large breed dog I thought this would be perfect for him. I am a little bit disappointed

Nice toys but not as strong as I had hoped
I try to find tuff chew toys cause my good ole boy loves his toys but he absolutely destroys them. Took him a little under an hour to breach the seam and completely destroy this toy. I hoped they’d have lasted a little longer but less than a day on both. He still carry’s the carcasses around and enjoys continuing to chew them up

Tuffy toys are great! But the bears' ears are a weekpoint
My dog loves tuffy toys and many of them have lasted years despite him being a chewy lab mix (lobster, bone, fish). But the bear in particular has small ears which he found easy to tear off. And from there it wasn't long before the whole thing was destroyed. If you have tough chewer I'd go with another of the tuffy toys.

rip off
I have a 9 month old jack Russell, so only a little dog, and I was looking forward to giving him this toy as they claimed to be durable, and the toughest dog toy, but my little dog had this for literally 1 hour before I had to take it off him, because he was starting to get to the stuffing. Extremely disappointing. I feel ripped off, as u can get a toy from the £1 shop which will last longer than this.

Disappointed because I thought they'd last longer than they did ...
My cocker chewed through it in about two minutes. Disappointed because I thought they'd last longer than they did because of the price (bought same make in another toy)

Tuff but Cute
Love Tuffy toys. Survived all 4 of my puppies. This bear is a lovely size. Safe and stimulating. Highly recommend. They like to nibble the ears and nose. Play with as if another puppy and settle down for a nap and a cuddle with it.

Another great toy from Tuffy
My dog loves Tuffy toys. They are the only ones she doesn't destroy in 5 minutes and although she will eventually de-stuff them they do last a good few months.

Not so tough...
I bought this toy for my 11 month old, mini-jack russell terrier and he managed to tear it apart and pull the stuffing out within a week's time. Not the quality one would expect for a toy costing 25 GBP! I would not recommend this toy for anyone who has a dog who loves to chew.
