This is super simple to put on and take off. I like that it is adjustable in 2 separate areas. The part that goes from the top of the neck to the front of the chest is adjustable for each side. Than once it is on you can adjust it o the top to tighten a bit so it makes it easy to get on and off. My dogs go to work with me so each day we put it on for their first walk and then it is left on until later in the day for their second one. It takes about 20-30 seconds to put on and maybe 15 to take off. These harnesses are very well made. Like I said I got them both 2 years ago and the pictures I'm attaching were taken yesterday so they are holding up quite well. I haven't had any sort of loosening, tearing or breaking. Much more humane than a choke collar. - I purchased this harness after borrowing my roommate's a couple months ago, and I've been using the new harness for about a month and a half. I have a 40lb, 10 month old puppy (pitbull mix?) who would rub her neck raw from pulling so hard when I used her collar. So I bought a traditional harness, but it was even harder to control her, and it was IMPOSSIBLE to walk her for more than 10 minutes. And I really didn't want to use a choke collar, but I was seriously considering it before I found this harness. When I tried it, we went on a 45 minute walk, NO PROBLEM! She still pulls a little when she sees squirrels or other dogs, but she can't pull very hard because the tension on the tether pulls her shoulders back which reduces her leverage on the ground. And this is also a good training device because if I walk her on her collar, she still pulls harder than on the harness but not NEARLY as bad as before. She is learning what is acceptable on the walk, and though I would never stop using this harness, I feel confident that in a few months I wouldn't HAVE to use. But at the end of the day, she LOVES it! She gets so excited when I bring it out! ALSO, it's great if you have 2 dogs because you can walk them on one leash (see pictures above)! Now when I take my dog and my roommate's dog to the park, I just loop both O rings onto the same leash clip. It works even though there is a difference in height between the two dogs. We adopted a 4yr old female Boxer named "Sophie" from the shelter a month ago to provide a bit of companionship for our aging Boxer/Lab mix as we had to put his older sister down 2 years ago. She is loving, rambunctious, and as many of you may know about Boxers, stronger than she looks. Every day for the past month I have taken both our dogs on walks and I was always frightened of choking Sophie with her collar as she would sprint after squirrels, cats and other little dogs to the extent of whip-lashing herself when her leash reached its end. She pulled with all her might if she saw something she wanted. We worked on leash training and listening exercises to no avail. I am 6'4" and weigh 280 lbs so I was able to handle her. I was always afraid when my girlfriend and 5yr old daughter would ask to take the leash for a bit on our walks because frankly there was no way either of them were strong enough to handle Sophie. I even had to turn around on our walk a couple of times as she was having such a bad day on the leash, I was afraid of choking her to death. As I didn't know what else to do to help in the training, I purchased this harness from Amazon. There was IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION two steps out the door. It was amazing how instantly she behaved in the harness. She would get to the end of her leash and instantly stop pulling. As other reviewers stated, they could easily lift their dog up with this harness by the front legs to decrease the strength/pull, yet this was not even needed in my case but I could see their point. She behaved so well when she felt tension from the chest it was unreal! Even if she went to far left or right, when she felt a slight tug, she came right back with ZERO resistance. This harness immediately made her more docile I couldn't believe it. She did try to chase a squirrel one time but was easily brought back because of this harness. Do not hesitate one second to purchase this harness if you have a "puller" and are looking for an answer. I have had large breed dogs all my life(37 years) and never realized how beneficial it was to use a harness. This harness is very well constructed and looks very comfortable for almost any dog. Sophie weighs 68lbs and I had to adjust the harness to about 25% of its total expansion. This harness would handle a dog from around 50lbs up to I'm guessing 125lbs. This is an incredible product. Sophie is so well behaved now that I will have no hesitation to let my girlfriend or even my 5yr old handle her on the leash.
