Quality Product, but Do be Aware of Color Variations
I ordered the red and it's not red: it's decidedly pink. Since I have a male dog I'm taking some flak on that from my husband who's kind of sensitive about such things. The dog doesn't care and I can handle the teasing. For those who can't though, you should know that the "red" is pink... very pink!In the overall scheme of things, however, I'm more concerned about the quality of the product than anything else.I have two dogs. The larger dog is a service dog who is in the process of being retired. She's a medical alert dog and she's a ShihTsu. At the time that I first got her ShihTsus were not common as service dogs (nor were medical alert dogs all that common) and it was well nigh impossible to find service vests that fit her. The best solution was a hands-free lead clearly labeled as a Service Dog lead. Since she's so short - and I am not - it was also necessary to put a harness on her that included a fairly long lead in the design. Again, finding a harness that fit her short boxy body was almost as much of a challenge as finding a vest had been. The Yuppie Puppy harness is easily adjusted to fit a wide variety of body shapes and has a long enough lead to it to make up the extra distance that was needed to fit her comfortably to the handsfree service lead. I've had years of excellent service from that harness and it has washed well when the need arose (which is important with a service animal as they are going into restaurants, doctor's offices, grocery stores... every place the handler goes regardless of whether or not it's a place one usually finds animals: cleanliness is key).My new puppy is in the process of being trained to replace my old dog in service (although the old dog will still use her harness, but now simply as a cherished pet). It made sense to me to turn to the Yuppie Puppy harness again and, once again, I'm very pleased with the choice.By the time he's on the job he won't be using this harness anymore anyway and I'll turn to this brand again for his actual service harness... I'll just make sure I order the black. :)

Arrived within a week of combo order with other products. Harness was opened out of box. I ordered a new product. I actually thought at first it was missing since at first I just saw the harness package opened with nothing in it! Luckily it was found on bottom of box. The harness itself is a bit difficult to get on and off quickly. Especially during potty training time. I have a Shichon puppy. Their tracheas are delicate as with many other small breeds. So the harness is preferred over a collar. I measured my pup prior to ordering and read many reviews. Based on that I ordered the toy size for 8"neck. It is difficult as I previously stated to get over the dogs head. As its one complete piece. It could be improved if u could quick snap an open /close neck piece that's adjustable.updated review: now that we have used the harness a little bit longer and areally more familiar with the proper way to use it it's not that difficult. My puppy actually helps to get in and out of it himself. The only really negative is the way it slips over the head. The pup is constantly trying to bite the chest piece (due to teething) and because it's such a tight fit there's not much room to finagle him in it. Otherwise happy with it. If I ordered a size up may not be an issue.

Okay, good price, not right for my pup
Fits my 8 lb Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix perfectly. Easy enough to get in the little guy even though he is a fighter when it comes to that sort of thing. The only issues I have is that where it sits on his chest does choke him and has a hardish thingy right where it sits on his chest, which makes it worse. He has not been to obedience school so he tugs and pulls. That's on me and him; however, for others just know this can happen. He is just a puppy, so if you have a puppy yet to be trained, they may well pull and choke themselves too.The price was right on this, but I think I will spend more and get a harness that avoids this area of his chest.

The anti pull harness is working as my puppy is not pulling anymore like he was with the collar leash (I have more control). I gave it a 4 rating because the mesh chest portion has become an issue where my puppy is biting it (may be a reoccurring issue but I'm also redirecting my puppy to chew on toy as we walk instead). He can still reach the leash and bites but it's much harder for him to do as its more towards his back rather than neck. Overall I do recommend the harness as it's made well, is soft enough for a puppy (I purchased the x-small for my 2lbs pomeranian and it is adjustable enough that it will adjust as my puppy grows into an adult). It's easy enough to put on and take off. He never struggles and sits to allow me to put it on and off (of course with the command of sit and stay -which are the two major commands I recommend teaching your puppy first before even attempting leash walking).

Anti-Pull - Not So Sure
This is perfect for ensuring my pet doesn't choke himself from pulling when I have the leash hooked to his collar. The harness is much better for his overall walking experience. I like how easy it was to put on him and I love the fit - it's adjustable. The part that fit around the legs is very soft. I'm not convinced that this aids in anti-pulling. He still seems to pull, only it makes him stop and stand. I guess the way I imagined it would work and the way it actually works is what's making me unsure. The current problem I am having with this harness is not with the harness but with my puppy. She thinks it's the neatest thing to grab my poodle by the mesh on the harness and she pulls him around the room. I guess that's her way of walking him. I just hope it doesn't tear. This product is one I will have to use more than once to see if it really is as advertised. However, for now he's no longer hooked to his collar therefore, no choking. Also, this is really a great price.
