Quality
These buttons are truly hardwood as described. I stained and used clear polyurethane on mine. They easily accepted the stain and matched up with the pine I was working with. I would choose these again no matter what wood I was working with. Oh, and I used a 1/2" Forstner bit to drill the divets to sink these into. Perfect fit.

What I needed, easy to use.
These were perfect for what I needed. Just know that is you are going to stain them to match a certain type of wood, they don't absorb stain wells. Just wiping the stain on them just isn't enough. I actually just put them in my can of stain (they float, so easy to retrieve) and left them for about 30-60 minutes. This worked for me. They turned out nice on the chairs.
